This. The NBA in the 80's and early 90's was a much better product than today's game. For one, defense in the 80's was played, not just encouraged like in today's game. Number 2, rivalries, team and personal. There is absolutely nothing close in todays game to the Boston/LA rivalry or Miller vs. New York. I miss the days when Larry Bird and Chuck Person would talk trash to each other all game, while dropping 35-40pts a piece. The 80's turned out to be one of the better eras of NBA basketball. And, teams were allowed to play PHYSICAL defense. It certainly didn't cater to the offensive player like it does now.
Also, no doubt LeBron is the best individual player in the league today. Kyrie will be a superstar, but he's not LeBron.
