OK, I will throw this out there. How would playing Weir, SCCHS (sad to say), or Toronto benefit ICHS? Easy wins, no points, learn nothing about the team. All 3 are name the score games (a credit that ICHS has improved), but hate to think about needing a few points after week ten and banking on Weir High to win. Locked in on alot of the other ones, so it is really key to select a team that you can just barely beat (ie, you get the win, but they will get you maximum points).

I did not pick these teams. These are teams chosen by others to play us.

Would like to see Claymont and IC get a series going, that would be a solid one.

SOS or any Creek fans, this is something I thought about a few times, If Coach Sam was still coaching, do you believe he would of been in favor of joining the buckeye 8. I never played for Coach and only met him a few times, but I think he may of been against it feeling he could go out and get those d-1 teams. This is not a knock on the creeks schedule, I'm an OVAC fan along with cheering for Big Red.MANAZE;1022708 wrote:need to go back to the Coach Sam schedule easy d-1 wins that give good amount of points.
Does anyone know if Indian Creek has considered playing Carrollton or New Philadelphia again?

Toronto will be a playoff team this year coming up and Im sure that Wintersville would love to open the brand new Toronto stadium with a winJoerhino;1016681 wrote:Playing Toronto would be ridiculous!

Creek has no business playing a team as small as Toronto any more than Big Red should be playing O'Hara. Creek should try to get Marlington or Dover or Sheridan on its schedule.

Ohara is good opponent and they have given us games before. Toronto and Wintersville used to play everyyear . They might beat Wintersville next year . They are a playoff team and they will be opening their new stadium . Im sure Wintersville wants to win the first game in that stadium . That is the whole idea behind this . Ill be there rooting for the Red Knights 100%FairwoodKing;1027151 wrote:Creek has no business playing a team as small as Toronto any more than Big Red should be playing O'Hara. With that crap out of the way, IC will NOT be playing Toronto. If it came down to playing a D6 school to fill a spot again, I would bet my house IC would go after CCHS.Thinthickbigred;1027917 wrote:Ohara is good opponent and they have given us games before. Correction-- O'Hara was a good opponent for a few years. Now that they are required to play big schools, they win very few games. And we only get Div. VI points for beating them. It's time for us to drop that team.Thinthickbigred;1027917 wrote:Ohara is good opponent and they have given us games before. Toronto and Wintersville used to play everyyear . As far as Creek is concerned, I would like to see them play a Div. I team instead of Toronto. They have to beef up their schedule at some point or they will forever remain mediocre.

They only have 3 open dates . Im glad we are not in a league like that . Now if it were a 6 team league maybe then . Carrollton would be a good game for them . That to me would be a game of the week . Salem is a good opponent . Brooke or maybe Wheeling Central . Steub Central

Yes, Salem would be a good opponent, but I disagree with Carrollton or Brooke. Creek needs to play a really good team every year, preferably a Div. I team like Boardman or Warren Harding or Fitch. I'm not suggesting they play a whole schedule of teams like that, just one team. They need a yardstick to show them where they really stand. The games with Big Red were good, but that obviously isn't going to happen again. It doesn't serve Creek's purpose to edge into the playoffs by beating eight weak teams and then getting plastered by 55 points.Thinthickbigred;1030956 wrote:They only have 3 open dates . Unless you are Mooney, how many Div 1 teams are going to schedule a Div 3 team?FairwoodKing;1029722 wrote:Correction-- O'Hara was a good opponent for a few years. Well then schedule a good Div. II school. Or schedule Dover, Marlington, or another good Div. III team.

^^^^^^I disagree
Carrolton is a perfect fit . Both similar in size . Both are pretty even I think . . They are only 20 miles apart so it would bring alot of people I think and WTOV 9 would love to have that for game of the week simply because of viewership in Carroll county . It would be a good competitive game IMO .. If they play some crazy team like Boardman or Fitch they will have 50 put on them . Wintersville played Warren Western Reserve back in the early 70's when Western Reserve was AAA state champs and runners up and Wintersville had a very good team back then winning like 39 out of 40 or something like that and they got beat pretty good . remember though that was when Wintersville was very strong . They have to climb the ladder before they play a bigger team like that again .

Carrollton and Big Red are about the same size and are geographically close to each other, too, but I shudder to think of what would happen if they played each other. I still say that Creek needs one really tough team on its schedule.

Ok Fairwood so youd have IC play an out of confrence game completely over there head . Ill go this far . IC might if they are strong next year get a decent D-1 Cleveland city school and if they survive that game and the Cleveland school goes 5-5 thats a ton of points for them . i just dont know which one it would be because some of the schools have fallen to D-2 and D-3 and even D-4 . i got it Ashtabula Edgwood . They are a D-2 team and that area isnt that strong so they win a bunch of games

Ya I wish we could of went up there to play you guys in the first round. Sounds like a good program you guys got going. It would make a nice rivalry. But we're packed for this year. Maybe in 13 or 14. How bout from 2015-18?
