Not by choice, military choice and I've been super sick ever since. Throwing up and a crappy head ache. And of course I'm going home on leave Friday.

You can fix your thread title by going back to the forum page, and then click and hold on your topic text.

Funny, millions of others get the mist and don't get sick. Just unlucky, or coincidence?

I know of a couple people that got it and got sick..related to the mist? Who knows..but I'm sure it was considering they got sick a day or two after getting it.

Yeah I wish I could have a sick day or two, actually I don't have duty this weekend so I'm going to relax. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not. I was feeling fine until last night in class and wow it hit me.

The mist is not the same as the shot. While the shot, like many other vaccines, are a deactivated virus, and next to impossible to get sick from, the mist is a live virus, and many whom have gotten the mist have gotten very ill. It depends on how one's body can handle it. My opinion, the mist was a horrible idea and never should have been manufactured.

exactly tusky. I'm a nurse and our hospital made it nearly mandatory for us to get the H1N1 vaccine. Most of the folks on my unit who got the mist experienced more adverse side effects than that of the shot. I got the shot and just felt very tired for a few days after.

our doctor wouldn't allow the baby to get the mist. we had to get her the shot just like the adults.

We just learned today that we're getting the H1N1 mist on Monday, and I too am heading to Ohio on leave Friday. The Navy almost always seems to get us flu mists right before the holidays.

My wife is a nurse as well, onuwb. When we got the kids' h1n1 shots, they tried to give the mist. She threw a fit, so they caved and gave the shot.
