Struthers is currently undefeated, at 5-0.

The Lady Cats are very young this year, too. They start 3 Sophomores, 1 Junior, and just 1 Senior. The JV team, also undefeated, is comprised mostly of Freshmen.

The Lady Cats defeated Canfield, 54-48.

Struthers was able to overcome an early defecit. McKenna Shives hit a half court shot at the buzzer, to give the girls a 31-19 lead at halftime. The Lady Cards went on a 15-2 run to start the 2nd half, and took a 34-33 lead. Struthers was able to go on a run of their own, and they hung on for the win.

The Lady Cats travel to Salem on Monday, and then come home to play Hubbard on Thursday.

The Lady Cats cruised to 7-0 this past week, with a 47-26 win over Salem... and a 79-39 win over Hubbard.

The Lady Cats will travel to Beaver Local on 12/29, before coming back to the Fieldhouse to host Austintown Fitch on 1/5/2012.

Struthers girls are 9-0 after the win at Beaver Local. They'll be gunning for Fitch Thursday. They way they playing, 19-1 or 20-0 is possible. The finale at Howland will be a good one.

Since the 3 point loss to Fitch, 49-46, the Lady Cats have been all business. In their last 5 contests, Struthers has won by 54 (82-28, at Campbell), 45 (69-24, vs. Niles), 22 (69-47, at Newton Falls), 53 (86-33, at Hubbard), and 16 (53-37, vs. Warren JFK).

The Lady Cats knocked off BL last night, 66-24.

The Cats are now 15-1 now. They have two rough road games coming up against Poland and Howland. They are playing very good right now. The sectionals and district at Fitch should be very interesting.

WB looked good tonight again, clobbering Hubbard.

If things go as planned, you'll see Struthers and WB hooking up again in the district semis. These two are getting awfully familiar with each other.

This is a very tough District tournament this year. The top 5 or 6 seeds are all decent teams. Ravenna looks awfully tough.
