Having him fight on the prelim cards where no one can watch does nothing GOOD for the fans. He should make it up to the fans by having the next PPV Silva is in FREE on SpikeTV.

I think it will end up being on a Fight Night for the Troops. I think if its on a prelim it will be one that is aired on Spike or maybe he doesn't want the fans to see it so they are spared of going through that again???

He'll beat Sonnen but hopefully it will be much better than his last few fights. Dana claims that Chael won't let Anderson get away with all of the dancing so I guess we will see.

Well Sonnen of course has had alot to say about Anderson Silva of late so hopefully this will put a fire under Silva's ass to not mess around and bring it this time. I am too hoping for a war here!

Ugh, Dana White is such a petulant child. Hes trying to be bigger than fighters and the organization. Hes such a piece of shit.

Hell never cut Anderson Silva also, even if Silva popped a squat a dropped a deuce, he wouldnt be cut.

As I said on the Silva/GSP thread, Jon "Bones" Jones is who I'd LOVE to see fight Anderson Silva.

IMO, Jon Jones is the next BIG thing. Dude is a BEAST. He's got a very unorthodox style of fighting and his elbows are deadly. He also doesn't back away from contact. Next to Rampage, he's my favorite fighter right now.

Figured I'd say it here too, since there was a bit of talk about Silva..

Unfortunately for the UFC, they currently have their two most dominant fighters (Anderson and GSP) in their two weakest (top-to-bottom) weight classes. There is really no competition for either of them inside their own division. I thought Dan Henderson would have made for at least one more interesting fight with Silva (more if Hendo had won), but he's fighting in Strikeforce instead. I wasn't looking for Silva's fight with Maia to be much of a main event. Maia's style made the fight too similar to the Thales Leites fight to me, and we all remember how that turned out. In no way am I condoning Anerson's antics, I'm just a frustrated fan expressing my opinion. If the UFC wants to see Adnerson in good fights, they need to provide him with some worthy competition. Saying they should have Anderson fight Brock is pretty obsurd IMO. To have a natural middleweight fight the largest of heavyweights is ridiculous. One, I would imagine they would have a hard time getting that fight sanctioned in the US. Two, Brock would destroy him.

A more realistic/possible scenarion in my mind is have Anderson step up to 205 and fight someone like Rampage or Rashaad. Put him in with a legit striker at 205. Forrest was a step up in competition from James Irvin (no doubt), but Forrest isn't exactly a feared striker. If Anerson is in the Octagon with either of the other two, he's going to have to fight, or they'll knock his head off.

I'm sure Anderson wants to put on a good fight every time out. I'm sure he didn't go out there to embarass the sport. I just can't fathom what it is like to get yourself mentally psyched up to fight somebody you know you can/should/will dominate.

I agree with Anderson at 185 but not GSP at 170. 170 is very deep with Fitch, Tiago, Alves, Koshceck, Anthony Johnson, and more I am forgetting. There are wrestlers and strikers in that group too.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Anderson Silva/Wanderlei Silva fight.

Don't think it'd be much more entertaining than the Silva/Maia fight IMO.

Would love to see Johnny Bones Jones fight Silva too. Jones, Guillard, Anthony Johnson, Guida, Rampage...those are probably my favorite fighters.

I'm just not a big fan of Wandy...think he's over his prime. He looked good in his last fight, but his previous few he got worked over pretty good. Just my opinion though.

IMO Wandy is pretty much a brawler who has huge technical holes in his striking game. Anderson would demolish him. Wandy could get away with it in his pride days when his chin was better and he was "enhanced," but not now.
