It would suck to wake up as Eddie Alverez tommorow. You lose and your leg is going to fucking feel like shit

Another awesome fight, Cowboy is a badass, Alvarez should have thrown more volume instead of looking for one shot. He beat the hell out of his body and legs.

Probably. If Cub beats Edgar he is about to get royally screwed.

Awesome night of fights.

I would assume that the winner of that fight would wait and get the next shot. No way they don't cash in on Connor right now.

There's a Vine floating around showing Kennedy confronting Romero after the fight. The best part about it is you can see Romero understands what he is saying and was clearly using the foreign language card in his interview with Rogan.

I can't imagine watching that Kennedy fight if I had money on it. Wow, that's rough.

I thought Zingano was going to get finished in the first round too.

5 more seconds in the 2nd round and money in the bank. I was most nervous about the Kennedy and Cerrone fight. What i'm wondering is if they switch the outcome if i'll get paid. My guess is if anything they make it a NC not a Kennedy win.

I'm hoping Cerrone will hold out for a title shot (doubt it) and that McGregor gets to fight Aldo. I don't think McGregor deserves the Aldo fight, but I think Aldo will give him a beating and I'd like to see his press conference after getting his ass kicked ha

Cerrone will not hold out for a title shot, and probably doesn't deserve on anyways. He's already been dominated by the champ, and Dos Anjos/Khabib are ahead of him in line.

I think when Conor loses he is going to be very humble about it. He is too smart to not take his loses like a man. People will turn on him real quick if he doesn't. When it's time to promote the next fight, he will be right back to yapping though.

Also, I love Cerrone but I can't help but feel guilty watching him. You just know he is going to be a mess physically, mentally and financially in about 10 - 15 years.

Knabib is hurt and Cerrone has beaten better guys than RDA, imo. He's also finished 4 of his last 5 fights. Guys have gotten shots for less, the only things holding him back are he wants to fight every week and he's lost to Pettis.

Zoltan - i definitely think Cerrone will be on the 30 for 30 Broke 2.

Call me crazy but if the Aldo of the past few fights shows up when/if he fights Connor he will get beat within 2 rounds. Aldo has not been impressive lately, I don't know if he is fighting conservatively because he doesn't want to lose his belt or if he just isn't being pushed by his competition but he isn't the killer he once was. I think Connor made an excellent point about a lot of these guys getting to a certain level and just trying to maintain instead of improve because they are happy with where they are.

He's beat one guy in the top 10, let's slow down.

Doesn't matter, look at his skill set. He reminds me of a prime Anderson Silva or Lyoto Machida in the way he moves. He has such a calm, smooth, fluidity to his game. He is huge for 145 pounds and hits like a truck, with a tremendous amount of speed and creativity. Wouldn't shock me at all to see him knockout Aldo, who hasn't looked great to me in a few years. There are still questions about his total skill set when you include bjj and wrestling but no doubt in my mind he can knock anyone out in the division on the feet.

Impossible to tell what his skill set is when he hasn't had it tested against the elite of the division. Mousasi looked technically perfect for a long time too.

Still think Aldo wins because 1) he's that good and 2) he wouldn't want to be embarrassed by Connor. Also, Aldo is a pretty big for 145 so the size would cancel out. Aldo does gas, so if it went late i think Connor wins, but early rounds i like Aldo.

I worry about Conor's hands down defense. Like Anderson it allows him to strike from angles and he see's most punches coming, but vs Brimage, Brandao, and even Poirier he was hit hard. He eats them like pancakes but can he continue to do that vs. Aldo?

I think Mendes could probably just wrestle Connor down for a whole fight

He is wide open for a left hook counter, but he is pretty good at sliding in and out of range with his footwork.

I'm sure he could take him down, but Mendes isn't known for a smothering top game.

So if Cruz beats TJ do we see Faber get another title shot? I think so.

I'd be ok with it. I think Faber or Cruz with the belt gets the division so attention again.
