Probably used in the transition off of TRT. Honestly, they could cut him, Wandy, and Vitor and I wouldn't care.

From my understanding they are drugs used to kick start testosterone once coming off TRT or steroid abuse. Two problems: He didn't disclose either of them and they are illegal.

So Wanderlei refuses to take a test (considered a failed test) and is replaced with a known doper in Vitor. Then Sonnen fails a test and Vitor will have a hard time getting licensed by the NSAC and I ASSUME they will test him and he will fail as well.

So, what else could POSSIBLY go wrong with this main event? I believe that Dana can't be this stupid to not know that this would happen with these 3 guys when TRT was banned by the NSAC.

It's not the main event but yes this entire thing is just a mess. Maybe this will lead to the random drug testing everyone out of competition. Hopefully something good will come out of it. Chael is a liar and a massive hypocrite though.

Of course he is, they will just mark it off as a disclosure issue, even though Chael already had that in 2010, sad. He knows what is legal and not legal and he knows he must disclose.

Though to be fair they do have a point about not being able to stop TRT cold turkey without some potentially serious consequences.

Yeah then he shouldn't have taken a fight and tried to apply for a license to fight, he never would have been tested if that were the case.

This. Why accept a fight when you're on two banned substances? Why book fighters who were on TRT instead of giving them months to get clean?

Also, why not be in constant communication with the athletic commissions and work hand in hand with them? Seems like they always try and go around them and end up getting burned by it. Chael says he had tried to contact the commission constantly with no success, not sure I buy that.

They have wallet sized print out cards with a list of banned substances. There is zero excuse to accept a fight while taking them. I don't get why the UFC backs him but throws other fighters under the bus for getting pinched by the NSAC.

I actually read he admitted to taking a third substance as well. I watched Chael reasoning and it will be interesting to see how they handle his appeal.

His explanation is basically the drugs he took are banned but are not performance enhancing. He says the rules are that unless it's fight night you can have banned substances that are not performance enhancing in your system. He says you just can't have those on fight night. He basically liked it to weed, ibuprofen, or Vicodin. He says your allowed those in your system as long as it's not fight night but they are banned substances. He also says a different lab did these tests and never gave him any paper to sign disclosing these banned substances like the other labs always do.

I thought he hadn't applied for a license at the time of the test.

Smart move for him, Dana has said many times how much FOX executives love him. He can get plenty of TV work. It also lets him distance himself from his second PED bust. Without serving any suspension it will be like it never happened.

Pretty obvious he's retiring because he can't compete without being on testosterone, makes his whole career a joke really.

Pretty much agree but he is 37 so it's not like it's a total cop out.
