Anderson needs to remain patient on the feet, he can't rush in with flying knees and kicks like last time and get taken down. If Chael is going to get take downs he needs to make him work for them, not gift wrap them by making mistakes. I also think he underestimated Chael's stand up last time, which is actually pretty damn good. I can't see Chael stopping Anderson, he has an iron jaw and isn't going to get submitted by someone like Chael. Chael needs to do the same thing as last fight and inflict a ton of damage, also stay out of full guard and pass to half guard if possible. Tall order imo to repeat that when Anderson knows that is his game plan.

I definitely think Anderson was totally taken by surprise last fight. His hands were down at his waist in the first round ready to defend a TD and he got rocked in the head with a few punches.

It was surreal to see Chael win the standup in the 1st even before the first TD.

Let's hope the Chael of the first fight shows up and not the Chael of the Bisping fight. Chael won the Bisping fight (even though Bisping is crying about the decision) but it was lackluster at best.

I am actually a big Anderson fan, but I loved the last fight, yes, even rounds 1-4. I'm typically the guy who roots for exciting fights rather than particular fighters which is why I like Anderson (usually exciting fights).

I think Silva will end it quick. I'm thinking 1st or 2nd round. Also I'm thinking Forrest needs a win badly this weekend.

The best part about that gif is that Sonnen is almost apathetic, like "ok, lets get the photo shoot done, I could care less about your intimidation tactics".

At the end when Dana pushes them apart he has the look on his face like "huh? well, ok"

Silva is gonna knock him down and let him up multiple times. He's gonna make sonnen look bad. He will definley toy with him b4 going for the kill. Sonnen better hope his takedowns work again this fight

I'm not so sure how people can say Silva is going to "dominate" Sonnen, when they've already fought and Sonnen pretty much 'dominated' Silva. Although, Silva is the best fighter in the world and typically does outmatch his opponents, so I guess one could say so by default; but, after their last match, I'm not so sure this is going to be the cake-walk that everyone is so quick to make it out to be.

Sonnen has a perfect style to give Anderson fits, he comes forward but doesn't stop, not allowing Anderson to set his range he is accustom to. Most guys in the past have feared Anderson(see the Okami fight) and the fight is pretty much a foregone conclusion before it even happens. Chael is different, he doesn't fear Anderson and he is tough as nails, he has never been knocked out or stopped due to strikes. Anderson shouldn't even throw kicks to allow Chael to catch them. He should just move and batter him with punches. I expect to see the Anderson we saw against Forest, unbelievable movement and timing. Anderson said today that Chael would have to be a magician to strike with him, and that it's impossible. I could see him knocking him down and hurting him over and over trying to humiliate Chael.

Not gonna happen. Chael will never let Silva get comfortable to let this happen. As soon as the bell rings, Sonnen is going to beat the piss out of Silva.

I just dont think it's going to happen this time. I believe Spider will wreck him. Just my opinion. I will eat crow if I'm wrong.

3 reasons

1) he over looked him the 1st time
2) he fought with a broken rib against someone using high levels of trt
3)hes extremelly motivated

I'll concede the "he's extremely motivated" point. After almost getting embarrassed the last go-around, he damn well better be focused.

I think the rib injury is BS - you can barely breath with a broken rib, let alone fight. I think he made excuses for getting beat up. I hope Chael wins, but i think Silva was caught off guard the first time around. I don't think there will be a finish, I think Silva wins on points but I'm hoping Chael does the same thing he did the first fight, minus getting caught with 2mins to go.

The way I see it, it's much more likely for Anderson to use better footwork and pick his shots better than it is for Chael to control him for a full 25 minutes against someone as dangerous as Anderson. I can't see Chael stopping Anderson in any way, so that means he will have to control him again and win by decision. 25 minutes is a long time to have to do that with someone as dangerous as Anderson. Chael matches up perfectly with him but something tells me that this fight will not be the same as the first.

If he fought with a broken rib, he wouldn't be able to move during the fight. It's a bullshit excuse for getting his ass kicked.

Reps, agreed. He took him lightly - i bet it's a closer fight this time around but still goes to a decision.

Tony Romo played with a broken rib last season or the season before. I believe Mike Vick did as well, but could be wrong. I do still believe Silva was caught off guard the first time, because I've seen him just play with opponents before when he could have ended the first 30 seconds. Silva is pissed off at all of the shit Sonnen is talking. I think he comes out more focused than ever and hopefully beats the shit out of him. Sonnen just rubs me the wrong way. I think it will be a heck of a fight, or Silva beats the fuck out of him quick.
