That was definitely worthy of a stoppage. Brock was out of it and not even defending himself.

At least against Carwin he kept up guard.

I have no issues with the stoppage. Bleedling like a stuck pig and no defense. I can't believe it really....would have never picked that one.

Well, I'm truly speechless right now.

Two things I gotta say about that fight.

1. Cain wanted it more

2. Brock needs Greg Nelson back as his head trainer, not marty morgan.

Not a weak stoppage, the fighter can't lay turtled up for 30 seconds getting pounded in the head, it will get stopped every time.

There's a rule in MMA called "inteligently defending yourself", and laying there covering up is not an inteligent defense.

What a great card! I would have paid for it if i wasnt in a hotel lol...i agree the stoppage was warrented ive seen stoppages way earlier than this one. Cain was throwing the heavier hands and unlike Carwin was picking his shots and not wearing out but I still cant believe he won! Lesnar was looking like a beast during the weigh-ins. It must have been that Viking beard of his.

Damn that sucks that Lesnar lost but he will be back. I liked the card overall.

Dana lost his cash cow.

But gained a new market.

I'm a Lesnar fan, and one my buddies is trying to convince me that it was set-up like I believe Silva/Griffin was. Not so much.

You do realize he was greasing inbetween rounds. His corner was caught on video doing it and was suspended for it. Here is the article where Dana White said he is 100% sure it was happening. He also said he didn't think GSP knew about it but his cornermen did. He compares it to a boxer who got caught with illegally wrapped hands and was suspended along with his corner for a year. SO BJ was not crying he was telling the truth. GSP is the better fighter and might be the best in the UFC pound for pound but his corner cheated that night. Other fighters had also complained prior to this fight that GSP did this.

I also believe this was a setup.

There was a huge story to be made out of Cain winning and being the first mexican heavyweight champion.

If Brock had won, there would have been no where for him to go.

After watching this, I am strongly convinced this was a fix.

It was a good stoppage. I am a big Brock fan. But I was worried that if he didn't take Cain down early he would be in trouble. I think its clear that Brock does not train hands much and doesn't get hit much in training. He Turns his head as soon as he gets tagged one time. This leaves him completely open. Brock seemed to rush way to much in the opening of the fight. As far a being fixed. I can't see that. Brock turned down millions from the WWE. Why would he take a fall for what would be considered chump change to him.

You do realize you said GSP greased his body, not that his corner man greased his chest?

1. His corner men got in trouble, not GSP.
2. GSP was found by the UFC and the NSAC to have done nothing wrong.
3. BJP was complaining about his back being greasy saying he couldn't get a grip with his leg in guard, Nurse rubbed his chest...so yeah BJP was crying.

I don't think it was a set up. I do hope the whole Mexican champion thing is over though and we can move on to just call him a champ. Who is going to beat Cain? He may be champ for a while.

This is coming from a HUGE Lesnar fan...

That fight was NOT setup. Cain, like Lesnar commented, was the better man last night. Brock tried taking him down and every time he did, Cain popped right up. I love Brock, but I seriously have to question his chin; and yes that's hard to say because he straight up took SHOTS from Carwin and took some last night against Cain as well. The reason why I question Brock's chin is because as one poster previously mentioned above, when Lesnar takes a shot he immediately turns his head and back-peddles. I'd like to think that Lesnar is big enough to stay in there and throw some haymakers right back at whoever.

Lesnar doesnt have the experience eating punches. His camp won't give him that. Trust me, from experience, sparring, and getting hit in the cage is something different. Lesnar needs to be with strikers, and work off that anxiety of eating punches. It isn't something that's easy for some people. But it is the chink in Lesnar's armor. He learns to take a punch, he will go undefeated for a while.

I'm glad Cain got the win and it was a good stoppage. Lesnar wasn't doing anything to defend himself. At least nothing that could be considered an intelligent defense.

1. You choose who is in your corner. Like it or not if your corner does something wrong you are responsible for it
2. Your right I said GSP probably ddin't know about it but it does tarnish him a little especially since he has been accused of it in multiple fights not just the BJ fight
3. Watch the video he rubbed gsp all over his defense was he was rubbing his chest as a breathing technique if you watch the video he rubs his shoulders and back down before he touches the chest look at the actual facts

Give it up I've said GSP is probably the best Pound for Pound fighter in the UFC, that he probably didnt know his corner was greaseing him but, that doesnt change the fact that it happened and hes been accused of it by multiple fighters


And Finally if you thought that I ment GSP actually took grease out of his shorts inbetween rounds and infront of 50,000 people said hey watch this I'm going to rub this all over my body and coach can you get the hard to reach spots then you sir are an idiot. Stop looking for techinal details to make an arguement over and use commen sense. GSP did go unpunished for this act but a coach he choose to have in his corner was punished and GSP had to go out and find a replacement he was also warned not to let it happen again or there would be punishment.

Lesnar is a good fighter and has improved but its hard to train how to take a punch. I believe the ability to react to a punch is something you either have or dont have. He needs to figure out a way to defend himself better from his back (ie get into a guard position something i dont remember us ever seeing from him). Before he can contend with the well rounded fighter that Cain is he will have to improve that portion of his game. Cain admitted he got caught with a big right but that he was able to stay calm something Brock has not shown. All that said Brock is still pretty young in terms of his MMA career and I fully beieve he can improve hell his natural talents alone with let him beat 98% of the heavyweight fighters in the world. Where does Brock go from here maybe Mir-Lesner 3. He has beat just about everyone except Cain and JDS. A rematch with Carwin maybe

Nelson is fighting Carwin soon. I think Mir/Lesnar 3 is the logical choice right now. With everyone else at the top occupied

I wouldn't mind seeing Mir/Lesnar III. Would Mir still talk trash all the way leading up to the fight? Of course it's Frank Mir.
