Another question for the technological geniuses on the OC. My wife and I both use Apple products, both use iCal. I'm looking for an iPhone/Computer application that will allow us to create, use and share on CENTRAL calendar, that can be updated using push notifications. Looking for something with capabilities of both of us adding events and the calendar always being up-to-date.

I know I'm a retard, but you are all better than me, so that is why I'm asking. Except CCRunner. He's not better than me.

That's what I'm looking at right now. Would be nice if iCal/Apple would create/allow it, but I might have to go this route for now. Been messing with Google Calendars for a bit, and it might be what I'm looking for, but not sure.

Waiting for dlazz to chime in, b/c I have heard him talk about Google Calendars before. He may have my answer.

The one thing I am not having luck finding is the best app to go with Google Calendar.

I'd say either mozzarella sticks or jalapeno poppers

I think Apple made it so iCal/Google Calendar wasn't compatible with one another.

Another option would be an exchange server of some sort.

If I were you, I'd just set up a Google acct that both of you have the username/password for, and update it through safari via m.google.com

Google Sync does seem to make the most sense:

I was able to export my calendars from iCal and sync them to Google Calendar. I have four different calendars imported so my wife can see my schedule, and she has the capabilities to add/edit our "family" one. The biggest thing I think I am looking for now is the proper app to use.

And we both have gmail accounts. I have a google+ account enabled, as well as calendars.

I'd just scrap iCal all together and strictly use Google calenders. I recently did this and never looked back. Google Sync works great w/ my shitty Blackberry.

Is the app called google sync? If so, not finding it on the iTunes App store.

Best way I've found is in re-heating in a skillet on a stove. But I will eat it cold.

It's probably in the app store. It's very simple to install/use.
