Prayers go out to one of the greatest of the wrestling world!
PWInsider.com is reporting that Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has been hospitalized due to an infection he has received in his surgically rebuilt jaw. Heenan was taken to The H. Lee Moffitt Center in Tampa Bay, FL earlier today, and as a result of his condition, will now have to miss his scheduled appearance at the K&S WrestleFest event this weekend in New Jersey.

Watched him wrestle many times when he was in the old AWA. What a great character, one of the best.

This doesn't surprise me. Here is a picture and video of Heenan (and King Kong Bundy) from a week ago. Very sad to see his current condition.

^ Wow. What happened to him? Where'd all his weight go? I didn't know he was sick, if that's the cause the of the weight loss.

Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002. That's the cause of his drastic weight loss and the reason he has had many operations on his jaw.

Brings back memories of wrestlings hayday. We used to gather at friends homes to watch the big matches, much like people do now for football.

The last time I seen him on anything..which was probably about a year ago..he wasn't able to talk..but he didn't have a hole in his throat that I could tell.Chesapeake wrote: Wow, 7+ years with throat cancer?

He and Gorilla Monsoon were the best commentary team ever! Hopefully he hangs in there.
