I think it was more fun to make fun of steelers fans than it was to watch the Browns beat the steelers.

I made my calls before the game and told them this was going to happen. Only one actually believed it would. He said he told his brother if it did happen he was putting away the Stiller stuff for another year.

Apparently, the word spread and it became Stiller fan law, I haven't seen a Stiller piece of clothing since.

I don't bother with Steeler fans.

Having grown up when they were VERY irrelevant (even more so than their football team) I see many of them for the bandwagoners they (mostly) are. That said, I am surprised how Tomlin has apparently lost this team, which makes me appreciate the job Mangini has done to keep things together, in spite of ridiculous injuries.

I'm not even a Steeler fan, but ...

Brown Super Bowl Appearances - ZERO. Steelers - have won 6 out of 7 Superbowls.

The Browns have won 56 games since they began playing football again.
The Steelers have won 106 games in that same time span - oh and 2 SuperBowls.

I would tell some of you at act like you've been there before, but being that you are Brown fans, I realize you havent been there ever.

Your post is MEANINGLESS.

When the Steelers lose their franchise and have to put up with a new owner and starting from scratch, we'll talk. Until then, nothing you've written has any context or meaning.

For all intents and purposes, this Browns franchise is roughly 11 YEARS OLD.

Do you want to compare what the Steelers franchise did its first 11 years of existence? I think that would be a MARVELOUS idea. I believe there were 5 teams when these STERLING records were created.

There's a reason that, even after some 30 years of pretty darn good football teams, your overall winning percentage as a franchise is about .500. Yes, you were that putrid for a very, very long time. When Cleveland ends up matching that 40 year mark for futility, we'll talk. Until then, you got basically nothing.

1943 5 4 1 3rd
1942 7 4 0 2nd
1941 1 9 1 5th
1940 2 7 2 4th
1939 1 9 1 4th
1938 2 9 0 5th
1937 4 7 0 3rd
1936 6 6 0 2nd
1935 4 8 0 5th
1934 2 10 0 5th
1933 3 6 2 5th

I give the Browns all the credit they deserve. During what has become a very poor year by Pittsburgh's recent standards, they defeated us. They're having the season we all expect from Cleveland nowadays, but they were able to rise above themselves and beat Pittsburgh, so they deserve respect. Their typical 2-3 win season will be a lot more special because of this win. Fans of the team under 25 or so have gained a new high mark in the history of their fandom!

This is also a franchise that, since 1999, could read Superman comic books until the end of time and never figure out Clark Kent's secret identity.
