I just don't understand how Shurmur was the HC choice. Holmgren should be embarrassed for stealing Lerner's money.

Holmgren's 2 biggest decisions so far have been Holmgren and Shurmur, and he basically staked his tenure on them.
Everyone in the city knows that Shurmur is a loser, but for Holmgren to fire him it would be admitting he screwed up. That's not going to happen, so we are stuck in neutral for years on end. It is sad and depressing.
I despise watching a Pat Shurmur run offense every week as it sucks the joy out of being a Browns fan. I hate that Holmgren is willingly allowing it to happen knowing that it is setting the franchise back.

Pat Shurmur is Fritz Shurmur's son....is that correct? Was Fritz the defensive coordinator for Holmgren....or am I make all this stuff up. If so that is just awful.

I just did my own research....not only was he a defensive coordinator for Holmgren at Green Bay, but he left with Holmgren to go to Seattle....WOW, wonder how Pat got his job. Lol

They share the same agent (Shurmur and Holmgren) though. I guess as long as they keep the commission in the family it's ok.

Holmgren is terrible in the front office just like he was with the Seahawks. I knew hiring him would be a mistake unless he wanted to do the actual coaching.

As far as the Fritz/Pat Shurmur comments....I also expect it to be very possible that Mike Sherman will join this staff as Pat's O-Coordinator. They all share the same agent with Holmgren.
Jammies is to blame for this shit. He keeps hiring these worthless fucks like Crennel, Mangini, etc. Until there's a legit owner it will be "Groundhog Day" over & over. Even Mike Brown laughs at Lerner.
Really pissed me off seeing Ozzie Newsome sitting up in the Rats press box. He should be Cleveland's GM.

Shurmur. His 8th grade offensive scheme is what's hurting the Browns currently and in the immediate future.
