In all the years I've followed wrestling I have never witnessed such incompetence in running a tournament. These people have no clue what they are doing. They ran 32 man brackets on four mats while two mats went unused. Throughout the day there were stretches of 10-15 minutes of empty mats while they tried to figure out what they were doing. This resulted in kids waiting around for 4-5 hours between matches and finally finding out they couldn't wrestle because their opponent's bye counted toward the five match maximum. There was no system like a Medina board to enable coaches and fans to know when and where a wrestler was going to wrestle and brackets were rarely updated. All in all it was a terrible experience for wrestlers, coaches, and fans and is the type of situation that turns people off from the port. I would highly reccommend finding another tournament for your team.:thumbdown:

I do not believe that byes count toward the 5 match maximum. Forfeits, however, do.
