Heres a question. What do you think will happen when Norwayne faces a good team who doesn't turn the ball over? Food for thought

It will just take them a little longer to hang 60 on them.

I wonder if any team has ever made it to week 11 after losing by 64 in week 10?

Likely that Norwayne/NWN meet again in week 11 right back in Creston.

Tough to beat a team twice in 2 weeks, but to say a team wins by 64 and then loses to that same team a week later would be almost unheard of.

Might be closer though...

Watching CPI last night, the commentators said that they were told the game may not be held in Creston in order to accommodate more fans. Is that true?

Rough night for the Huskies.....turn the ball over in its 2nd, 3rd, and 4th drive after only a couple of snaps. 21 - 0 right away. 7 turnovers in first half. Almost all were unforced, just putting the ball on the ground. The demoralizing had begun. First time Huskies have been in that situation this year. Cats are very good doesn't help. Wake up call for Huskies? We will see. Congrats on all locals that made playoffs. Huskies, Cats, and Falcons.

wow, terrible finish for Dalton - they made an average smithville team look like world beaters. 7 fumbles, 4 lost - the ones that werent killed drives. That was the worst I have seen the bulldogs play all year - they looked better against norwayne (seriously). I did think smithville was clearly the better team, but they are not 40 points more talented. They definitely took advantage of the Dalton mistakes and made them pay and hats off to them for that. I'm done complaining now.

Get ready for a Norwayne Northwesten replay because Brookfield will jump ahead of the Bobcats after the three teams on Brookfield schedule play today Sat.

Congrats to Norwayne. It was a down year for the WCAL, but they took care of business from beginning to end.

I do know Hartley feels they had a state championship stolen from them last year. I really look forward to a potential Norwayne-Hartley match up at some point. Would be a heck of a game.

I thought it could be bad. I really didn't think NWN would have a chance. I just can't believe this. It sounds like they didn't even compete.... It happens from time to time but I really don't know how a team could recover from this at this point in the season. Good luck Huskies. Hopefully you fellas have a real short memory

It was down year for part of the WCAL, but the conference has 3 playoff teams including the defending D4 champs who have a chance to be as good as last year.

I agree about Hartley/Norwayne - would love to see that.

Not a complaint..just the truth. Worst game we have had in a while. Maybe feeling too much pressure to get the 500 season.

This is a complaint...honking bus horns on the way out of the school? Really? Do what you want when you hit Smithville city limits, but have some respect for opponents, especially on senior night. Bad form.

I think that was the band bus, and I was already kind of annoyed with them after the "It's all over" chant. This wasn't some close game that was sealed up. The Dalton team had a very bad night, and they were showing good sportsmanship despite it. No need for an antagonistic chant.

Yeah, I honestly don't think it was as far down as people are suggesting. We had an extra team vying for the cellar this year (last year, it was just Rittman and Chippewa), but we also had an additional team make the playoffs this year. I think it was more polarized than normal (fewer "middle ground" teams), but all-in-all, I don't think it was down much.

The league was better last year, but not way better. The biggest difference IMO was that 2011 hillsdale and smithville were better than 2012 northwestern and hillsdale.
