Vrabel was at Orrville that same day and probably a dozen or more other schools in the NE Ohio area this week. He's the new NE Ohio recruiting coordinator so he's out glad-handing with coaches and building relationships.
Had a twitter discussion with a local guy saying it probably amounted to nothing more than a handshake and an invitation to a summer camp.
Juniors-to-be are merely a blip on the radar...the junior year is crucial though and really defines how the recruiting process will be from there on out. Exciting for the kids, but more to build relationships with the coaches than anything else.....but yes, I'm sure winning a state title made Norwayne more of a destination than in previous years.
Vrabel's business card was pretty cool too.
Interesting to hear about Schar and the possibility of turf......we better get our act together at Orrville.
