I don't like listening to people bash them. How many OC ers would like to have our o coordinater? I lived thru the bad years at Norwayne and don't want to go back.

Take the time and read the 3500+ posts on here.....negative comment are common. If you don't like a tv program, you turn the channel, if you don't like negative comments, stay off the OC......and Beast is right, you are sensitive......are you a player's mommy?.........

Yeah, I don't see any D1 talent coming out of the WCAL for a while. Not a great demand for 5'9", 175 pound kids who run 4.8 40's. Wallace was the last best chance and his 40 time was so slow that the MAC wouldn't even think about him.

Congrats to Northwestern, they outplayed Hillsdale by a mile. Go Falcs is right on about the line play and Northwestern not completeing a few passes that would have widened the margin. Hillsdale left quite a few plays on the field as well though and them winning the game wasn't a far fetched idea....especially having the ball with 2 minutes left down 4. Hillsdale's lack of intensity in the second half concerns me. Same thing at Loudonville, seems like the heads hang and nobody is fired up trying to make a play. Hillsdale is not good enough to blow out good teams and adversity needs to be met with enthusiasm. IMO

I have read the 3500 posts and actually I enjoy watchin Waynedale, Orrville ect. fans rip each other. If the kids hearts are not into it... They drop at the first sign of adversity.... Bill walsh or vince himself couldn't get the team to turn it around. They would hammer then into the ground at practice but attitudes that have shown up this year would not respond.

Were have you been? There has been a week ten championship game the last two years!

What showed up as a team for Hillsdale last night was terrible. And all though I do question a few of the plays that where called, I would say this game was lost do to a lack of focus and intensity on the field. Half the time when the play was sent in it looked like they did not know what to do. When you are a two way player that gets run in and out a lot (and IMO any varsity player for that matter) you best be on the side line helmet on and ready to go in, not having social hour. We were unable to keep up with NWN hurry up and had kids still trying to get in position most of the time.
The line play was just bad on both sides of the ball.
Had NWN connected on half the passes they threw, this would not have even been a game beyond the first quarter.

If this is how we continue to play Norwayne will name the score.

On a brighter note: I was great being able to meet some of the posters last night, Sydfl, Miyagi, and even that deserter Red Bum.

Let's talk a little more about the coaching. I'm not one to complain about coaching because it's the athletes who play the game, but that was coaching reminiscent of the Hillsdale of old.

First of all, who had the pea-brained idea to go for it on 4th and 2 on our side of the field with the entire 4th quarter still to play? Horrible call.

Why didn't they run the clock with 1 minute to go in the second quarter and go into the half with a 14-6 lead? We would have received the ball to start the second half. Instead we threw an interception that resulted in 8 points for the Huskies.

The coaches need to do a better job getting the play calls to our QB in time. We used 2 timeouts and had a couple delay of game calls because the offensive coordinator couldn't make a decision on what play to call. We really could have used those timeouts at the end of the game.

Why did it take 3 1/2 quarters for our coaches to realize that they needed to put the big guys at defensive tackle to stop the huskie rushing attack? They needed to take out the smaller pass rushing defensive guys and put in the big strong guys and take advantage of our size. And why didn't they move our best O-lineman to tackle? Playing at guard vs the 3-5 defense of the huskies, he was basically neutralized by having no one in front of him to block.

Anyways, I want to congratualate Nolletti and the Huskies on their big win. Nolletti played one hell of a game.

As I stated, I do question a few of the plays that were called last night. However, since my football and coaching experience and knowledge is not at a masters level, I tend to give leeway to the coaching staff that has taken the Hillsdale Falcons from the forty year whipping boy of the WCAL to not only the top tier of the WCAL but also an upper level team in DV.
It is easy to set in the stands on Friday nights and say this or that young man would do this or that position better than another, or this play vs. that play is better. It is the coaches that have worked with these young men since the beginning of August, and actually a lot longer, and they are the ones who know what each one is actually capable or incapable of doing. There is also always things that go on in practice and in the life of students that affect a team that the fans are unaware of and these can effect how a coach approaches a game also.

I don't think we need to call people names! I do think the whole program is at an all time low. Last night waynedale had 3 former football players, that quit because of the coaching, paint themselves blue and root for Chippewa! That is embarassing! Call it attitude or whatever but the truth is something needs to change! We have boys out on that field that have no bussiness being there. We have boys on that field that should not be playing in the positions that they are at. Plays are being called based on a team that was in place 15 years ago. Going up the middle with no line gets you no where! The team as a whole is NOT aggressive enough. It is hard to watch the other teams push and shove with all they have and our boys just stand there and take it. we don't have to play dirty but we do need more aggression!
I did hear the JV got a win today. Heard it was an ugly one but a win none the less. Same thing goes for the JV. Talked to someone that was at the game and they said we had kids playing that had no bussiness being on that field. Playing defence when all they did was stand there and a kid from half way across the field had to come make the tackle. Had boys that played the 1st 5 games stand on the sidelines. Did hear that Strausbaugh #2 saw a little QB action!
I don't have a son that play. I'm not at the practices or anything so I have no idea what goes on behind the sceens. But I can tell you we have a problem! This isn't a "we are having a down year" problem. Waynedale football is broken! I hear it from the boys, from the fans, and from the coaches! It's only going to get worse! The politics with this freshman class are unbelieveable! Everyone was so excited to see what they could do at the HS level and now everyone is overhearing the boys make comments about playing soccer or golf next year! Crazy!
I also heard that the AD asked Z to help coach basketball! Is that an "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine"? Hope not cause you're gonna lose a lot of players.

Even though the Huskies won, I could also question some of the offensive calls. 1st half they are getting 4 or 5 yards a carry with Smith, why did they decide to start throwing the ball. The outside running game was there all night, yet they only tried a bootleg once and Nolletti scored easily.

We dont always agree with coaches and play calling , but like Go Falcons said we don't always know what is going on in the coaches head or within the team. I am positive that they are not doing things thinking that they won't work.

the exact words from coach z on the interception was don't throw the slant. He told the qb to throw the out. Those are the words I got from an assistant. What did his qb throw? The slant... How in the heck do you blame that on Z? YOU CAN'T! If you are winning and in position to add to it.... And your kid does the opposite of what you say.... I'm pretty sure you blame that on the kid... That is common occurence this year. Say what you want but you are wrong. If coaches have as much pull as you think... Schrock and ram would have never lost.

Yes I did play real sports. 3 year letterman in football and wrestling at waynedale. WCAL and daily record recognition in football. 4 years of college ball in the OAC. Coach multiple sports including football. I HAVE FORGOT MORE FOOTBALL THAN YOU HAVE EVER KNOWN. That monkey knows more than you do too....Go speak your ignorance elsewhere. You're clueless.

For the record... I am not a coach on their football team and unlike most of the idiots on this forum I have offered my help in anyway possible and will support the program as long as it is in existence.

By the way Footballnuts opinion is the right one IMO. If Zimmerly blows a knee up by 50 in the 3rd then Norwayne's staff full of head coaches have to answer how something like that happens. If winning is truly what's important then you perserve the win, get all you're studs out of the game and start preparing for the next one. You dont pull all of your studs, run(and throw to) your POY the year candidate for 2 more series then start preparing for the next one.

Well I'm back from my little "vacation". I guess I offended someone on here and they went and told the teacher on me...come on guys, what is this first grade? You can get on here and bash a coach and call him a moron, idiot, monkey, clown, etc. but I can't do the same to you? However, I promise no more name calling. I don't want to miss recess anymore.

That being said, I just couldn't help myself anymore. Buckz your post again is a testament to why it is so frustrating to get on here and listen to people who THINK they know what is going on but have obviously received WRONG information. Yes, it was good to see the JV's win. Anytime our boys win it is great. Strausbaugh #2 did get behind center for 3 or 4 plays (with little or no gain) but it was really just a "wildcat" look. We didn't win because he was at qb (he did have a good game at rb and db), we won because the Lester kid is by far the best athlete on the field and when he is in open space no one can catch him. That Chippewa JV team is not very good and we needed a "miracle" to win it. But again, a win is a win and these kids needed that. It is unfortunate that we might have some kids playing JV that shouldn't be but we are seeing that on the varsity level as well and it is just where we are at now.

But again...I save the best for last. "The politics with this freshman class are unbelievable!" What politics?!?!?!?!?!?! Do you really think that Coach Z wants to have these freshmen playing at the varsity level right now? Again, it is what it is. And finally....Coach Z, correct me if I am wrong, has been an assistant basketball coach to Reibe since I can remember Z being at Waynedale. I know that Reibe took some years off but Z was with him 2-3 years back then AND he was his assistant last year. He didn't just ask him THIS year, so you can throw that ridiculous theory right out the door! Are you telling me that our bball coach was "politicking" for his boy back when he was 4 years old?

Let me ask you this...does your nephew hear you say the things you say on here because if he does then how is Coach Z ever supposed to coach a kid that has all of these negative thoughts in his head already?
