How do you choose that over Terry Francona?
A Boston Red Sox official told at least one player at the beginning of the managerial search that they "weren't going to hire Bobby Valentine or someone like that," a clubhouse source told ESPNBoston.com last week.
Fantastic if true.

The guy did a good job with the Mets, but I don't know how he's going to handle all those moving forces in the Boston clubhouse...

Not sure this is gonna be a good hire for them.

Outta the league for close to 10 years.

Bobby V sucks. I'm just glad he won't be an analyst anymore.

I tweeted this last night. He was awful and they just kept sticking him on air more and more.

Well then it's probably a good hire. They need a kick in the ass.

I would tend to agree but Bobby V is Bobby V. Lots of friction in his past two managerial stops. Sometimes he acts like he's bigger than everything else around him
