Big hit for the tour for sure. Kudos to Woods for prioritizing his life.
Maybe Phil can actually continue winning majors again? Should be a fun year on tour.

he he hadn't fucked up so enormously he wouldn't have to consider this. He deserves no kudos, so I'm taking yours and applying them to Mardy Gilliard.ohiotiger33 wrote: Big hit for the tour for sure. Kudos to Woods for prioritizing his life.

What does every married guy who wants to get laid by some strange need? More free time to go find more chicks.
Tiger, I think you're marriage is over brother.

Horrible news for the PGA Tour. Just look at how different their ratings are when Tiger is in contention on Sundays. Think what it will be like if he's gone for an extended period of time.

This is disappointing, hopefully he'll be back soon.
Lot's of athletes are assholes,we don't pay to watch them be good people, we pay to see them do insanely well at their sport.

Hope he gets his life straightened out. He's got some serious issues. While he's at it, he might want to get his eyes checked too.

His time off provides tremendous financial opportunities for the other golfers.
With another solid year, good guys like Stewart Cink, have tremendous sponsorship opportunities. Nike has really invested in him, the recent Tiger issues should redirect focus to him.
Lefty should win more than his fair share of starts this year.
I would call him an early favorite in Augusta.

This is obviously a good move for him. There was really know other choice. Of course he fucked up hard; anyone who has read the story knows that. But you don't give up on your life. You try your best to pick yourself up and learn from your mistakes. These mistakes are obviously terrible, but its not like the guy is going to go commit suicide. Vick picked himself up, so will Tiger.

I guess he took the term "don't hate the player, hate the game" alittle too seriously.

I would think he would be back by the Masters, I just can't wait to see the crowd's reaction when he is announced at the first tee of his first tournament, or the reaction on 18 when he wins his first.

This is a bunch of BS. Why he obviously is taking time off, just not sure I buy it's to work on his family life. This is about damage control and going into seclusion hoping the media circus will die down.
And if his wife really did move out, how long before Tiger gets bored and lonely and decides to head on down to the VIP lounge?

I don't know if he should be considered a coward for hiding, or thinking he's doing the right thing. I just think he's in too deep and has made too many bad decisions to really save his marriage.

Depends on a few things. Namely, is his wife more mad or did she know and is mostly just embarassed?thedynasty1998 wrote: I don't know if he should be considered a coward for hiding, or thinking he's doing the right thing. The other thing is how much she revels in the celebrity status and social circles. Maybe she's involved in other things and would continue to be, but if she truly is shallow that status might be very important to her.

I don't think Duval will be on tour this year. He didn't make it through Q school. He will get a few sponsors exemptions I am sure, but not that many.
Which blows, because Duval is the man. I want to see how Ricky Fowler does this year.

I don't think Tiger will be back before The Memorial the first week of June.
