How many National Titles will the B1G win in the next decade? Remember, conferences win National titles, not teams, this is the way it has been since 2006.

I say he wins 3.

Thoughts?

Osu wins a minimum of 8 national championships over the next 10 years. Another B1G team will win the other 2. Book it!!!

Michigan is back in the mix and will be tough as hell again, not like the last 7 years. Nebraska and Wisconsin are solid contenders. Mich State may slip now that Michigan is back, but will still be solid. Iowa is a good for a run at the conf title once every 4 years or so. Penn State is a huge question mark. With their facilities and such, the right hire could shoot them to the top or with all that has gone on, they could be down for a while (anyone's guess on that). The rest of the conference is average and will remain that way. NW has too many limitations for Fitz to get over the hump. Put him at Penn State and you will have trouble for the rest of the conference.

OSU will be right back in the mix every year. I don't see them winning 6 conference titles in a row again. Two reasons, conference is better up top now and the championship game makes that a tougher feat.

I think he will get one in the next 10 years, 2 may be pushing it. Remember, when he won at Florida it was because other schools choked and got them in the title game. It isn't easy and takes a lot of luck to win a NC. It will be fun to see how OSU and the Big 10 in general does over the next few years.

At Florida Meyer had to go through Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia and South Carolina to get to the BCS Title game.

At Ohio State Meyer has to go through Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan State, Michigan, Penn State and Iowa to get to the BCS title game.

Where is the path of least resistance?

One could argue that at Florida his talent match up with those SEC schools and at OSU his talent will match up with Big 10 schools. Based on past success, OSU has not matched up well in Title games against SEC schools. I am Big 10 fan, so don't everyone jump on me.

Will he bring some of the southern OL/DL skill up North? That is where OSU lost those 2 BCS title games, they were too slow up front. The skill guys held their own (Wells TD run, Ginn's return).

Guys isn't it obvious? Tress is gone, Urb is coming. Shazier decommits from UF and rumors of Ju'Juan Story following him. You heard it here first...I need to start a twitter account so I get credit for all of this...
Gotta love devil1197
Highly unlikely that Tressel would suddenly leave the program. He is one of very few coaches that have too much respect and dignity to just bail out of nowhere.

When we start hearing rumblings from Gene Smith and others then I'll be worried, not some blogger.

the question should be, how far will ohio state lower their admission standards so he can draw top recruits from the south?

When you can win two national titles and dominated the SEC im pretty sure you can win many B1G titles and a few national championships. He also has a great line man coming up from Pickerington High School Central. Jacoby Boren, Brother of Zac and the older brother that now plays in the NFL( cant think of his name)

Devil was the worst..so glad he's gone.

He literally thought his team was going to win everything; and he wasn't cool about it all. Like instead of saying "come on Browns lets beat the Bengals!!" He'd say "Browns' run game has been great lately..they will win this game" like an arrogant smug prick

So glad he's gone
