I know Wisky is tough at home, but I thought they were a little vulnerable this year so thought maybe IU could steal one.

I think Indiana is pretty clearly the better team on a neutral court. Tough to win in Madison though.

Oakland over OSU was LAUGHABLE..especially at OSU. Comical.

They are vulnerable, no question. But again, IU has come down to earth and not playing well right now. Wisconsin is playing pretty decent now. Then on home court. All I said, yes after, was I thought that was an easy pick. Just opinion. Then everyone gets their panties in an uproar.

Really!! IU has proven itself to be a monster at home, but less than that without the home crowd to give them an edge. I'd take Wisky and the leadership of Jordan Taylor.

Indiana and Iowa just put on a defensive clinic. Some of the best defense I've seen in college basketball in quite sometime.

Lookin good on this prediction so far. Nice OT win over Illinois, the Gophers could really jump start their season with their next two on the road, but winnable (@ Iowa, @ Nebraska). Minnesota loses to Iowa. They've got 5 games left against OSU, MSU, Indiana, and Wisconsin, so plenty of statement chances left, but they're a serious longshot at this point for the NCAA.

Yeah, they have a lot of home games left (@NW, @Neb, @Wisc, home against OSU, MSU, Ind, Neb, Wisc) so I'm not ready to close the door on them yet. But they sure don't have any wiggle room left.

Not a single OOC win over a top 50 team outside of the league (2 total). Bucknell, South Dakota State, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Northwestern and Illinois are their only top 100 wins.

Compare that to just Illinois (4 top 50 wins), Indiana (5 top 50 wins), Michigan (7 top 50 wins) and Purdue (4 top 50 wins) and I just don't see how Minnesota can compete with those resumes. And these are all bubble teams from the same conference...

Their RPI is (or was) pretty good. And they'd have to have a great end to the season, no doubt, which would give them some additional leverage- think wins over Wisconsin, MSU, Indiana at home, 2 wins over Nebraska to finish 21-10 (9-9). I'm not saying it's probable, just saying I'm not ready to shut the door on them yet. The B1G is wacky this year and it seems like home teams have been pulling more upsets than usual. No doubt though, without Mbakwe this team is proving to be mediocre at best in this league.

I know the B1G announcers were saying that they'd be in a good spot as far as being in the discussion if they won last night, but that loss has to hurt them a lot. When you're in the "on the bubble" zone, whether it's home or road, you HAVE to beat the weak links in the conference. And they should have won last night, but they didn't put them away and the Hawkeyes came back late.
