due to the ongoing investigation. Golden isn't too thrilled, though he says he agrees with the decision.

Pretty easy to self-impose a bowl ban at this point in the season when you're likely to go to the RainbowsandUnicorns.com bowl. The NCAA will see right through this.

OSU should follow suit. Just get everything over with prior to Meyer stepping on campus.

Yeah, this will not satisfy the NCAA. OSU has some dumbasses calling the shots but even they won't try this.

No way. Let's get a bowl game and win it.

Are we certain OSU won't do the same?

I think if the situation is a bit different and Miami is sitting at nine wins, would they impose the bowl ban on themselves?

I agree. They should have done this a long time ago

Doesn't sound like Golden is jiving with the Hurricanes brass. He was mad when they didn't tell him they were aware of the allegations and then they did this without talking to him as well.

If Penn State comes calling, he might be inclined to listen?

I would think you would have to do this at the beginning of the season for this to hold any weight w/ the NCAA.

These schools need to start following the SEC model of saying and doing nothing (perjury optional) and sending the investigators away empty-handed.

The ncaa likes it when they don't have to ban some school from a bowl.
When a university does that it is the same thing as saying "we'll pretend to play by your stupid, outdated rules".

The ncaa likes to feel like they are an actual authority instead being ignored and until they get the message and go home(SEC schools are currently the only ones doing that).
