Unbelievable. How pathetic is the Big East?

Collaros out for UC, they have looked awful.

B.J. Daniels went out today for USF.

It's very pathetic. Probably the worst BCS conference ever in my opinion, slightly topping their own record from last season.

What about the ACC. Conference leader Clemson got their arse handed to them by North Carolina State 37-13 (6-5).

North Carolina State got smoked by UC 44-14 earlier this year.

The ACC is bad, but nowhere near as bad. Va Tech and Clemson (even with their typical Clemson loss today) are way better than anyone in the Big East.

The ACC very well might have the BCS #4 team after today (Virginia Tech). The ACC is bad, but they have 4 teams with 8+ wins and 9 out of 12 teams are bowl eligible.

This is the same Louisville team who was handled by UCF earlier this season.

Not UCF, they lost to FIU. UofL started 2-4 and are now 7-5 with a possible Orange Bowl bid.

Umm.. good teams do get better during the course of a season.

This Louisville team is very young, mostly freshmen and sophomores. Teddy Bridgewater was starting his first collegiate game against FIU.

^^^ I'm not saying they don't. What I am saying is that a good team will figure out how to get better. Again, this Louisville team is extremely young. Look at their two deep roster and they are loaded with 18 and 19 year olds. They started out rough and got a lot better as the year wore on.

And bad teams win more when they get to the easy part of their schedule (league play in this case).

They lost to 5-5 Pittsburgh two weeks ago, is that "getting better"?

There is a reason I took the Big East slot away on NCAA Football 12...this is the same conference who put UConn in the Fiesta Bowl last year

I think they said on the WVU-Pitt game that WVU needs Cincy to win out and Rutgers to lose.

If UC, WVU and Rutgers all win out the team that is ranked the highest get the BCS bowl bid.

Yeah, you are right. I think this is the only conference where the head-to-head wouldn't take precedent.
A "MINI-CONFERENCE" IS CREATED AMONGST THE FOUR TIED TEAMS

Scenario I:
In the mini-conference, Teams A & B are 2-1, and Teams C & D are 1-2. The higher ranked of the 2-1 teams earns the bid. If the 2-1 teams tie for the highest ranking, the bid goes to the team that won the head-to-head match up.

Higher ranked in what? Do any of those teams even have any votes in any polls?

BCS Poll. Even though they are not top 25 of the Coaches or AP Poll, they have a ranking based on the category others receiving votes. Also, you have the computer points to figure.

Rutgers lost to UCONN today. If UC and WVU win they share the Big East Conference with Louisville. If UC wins and WVU loses, UC gets the BCS bowl birth. If WVU wins out they will get the BCS Bowl. If UC and WVU lose it goes to Louisville.

If UC loses, wouldn't WVU lose the head-to-head in a tiebreaker with Louisville?

No. The deciding factor is who is ranked the highest in the BCS poll. WVU is ahead of Louisville in the polls.

Not for a two-way tie:

TWO-WAY TIE
The winner of the head to head match-up will represent the BIG EAST in the Bowl Championship Series.

I stand corrected. Looking back, I mis-read you inital post. I was thinking if it were a three way tie.
