Fail. I haven't knocked Mastodon at all, I just said they are not the most influential band of the last decade. Not sure why you and tcarrier are getting so bent out of shape. You can like them and say you like them better than Dream Theater. And it may be true that their last album received better reviews than Dream Theater's last album, but they aren't the most influential band of the past decade. I think the opinion of professional reviewers probably can have the most say.
I like Dream Theater as much as anyone else, but if you compare the reviews of Mastodon's new CD to Dream Theater's new CD, Mastodon's had just as good if not better reviews.
