We have 2 lifetime subscriptions to XM in 2009. I was told we could switch 3 times for each of them. I called to get mine switched from my old car to my newer one. (same stereo, I took it out before selling old car to put into new one) They said they couldn't do that anymore without a $75 activation fee. When they merged with Sirius they announced this on their website?

You mean like a lifetime subscription to a sports forum, and the try to charge again?

That was right in the fine print when I bought my Sirius lifetime back in 2006. It's for the life of 3 radios, $75 to activate the 2nd and 3rd ones.

I'm still on my first radio, though.

Wasn't in the fine print of XM....guy on phone said when they merged they added the $75 fee, like Sirius apparently already did. The professional who installed everything didn't even know of this.

Whatever it's just money.

Why would you have to activate the same stereo in a new car? Sirius doesn't give a shit what car you have it in. You can use it in as many cars as you want.
