If I've learned one thing. It's only a weak team when Dover beats them.

Ohh...I like playing this game, too. You guys barely beat New Philadelphia...the same New Philadelphia that got crushed by Northwest. And I think we all know how that ended up.

So we won our rivalry game and you lost yours.. What's your point?

Why say this dumb crap? I come on here to support Dover and you have to be an asshat.

He's from Dover. Get used to it, then ignore it.

There should be enough name calling to have these big reddees banned for the week.

Point being that your comment about "if Zanesville can hang with a team that best you" is dumb.

Here's how this message board thing works.

I know I'm right, you know you're right. We're both wrong. Avatar bet, fun banter, PM threats (this might be a Steubenville exclusive), then Friday comes.

One team wins, the other makes excuses, and then thread bombs the team that beat them the week before (again maybe a Steubenville exclusive).

And Dover gave up 498 yards rushing to Canfield, and the Mooney running game is better than Canfields.

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that Mooney is going to pile up yards on the ground Friday night.

Tough for Dover's offense to score while Mooney's O is on the field racking up yards and running out clock.

Obviously you haven't seen Dover's defense lately. I think their plan is let the other team score quickly via long runs so our offense can stay in rhythm and hope the opposition tires itself out and we make enough stops in the 4th quarter to win.

Only time will tell. However, Mooney has the superior regular season battle tested schedule. Most DIV III teams would be .500 or worse against that schedule. Winning games is one thing but the quality of wins always bare out the quanity of wins.

Mooney will run at will. They will not have to put the ball in the air unless they choose to. Dover will score, but more often than not, the QB will have 3 guys in his face. He unloads it quick, they can move the ball. By the 2nd half, the Mooney D will have their way with the offensive line. They get a couple guys to do their job in the secondary and it will be 3 and out.

I would like to see Dover pull it out (except for the handful of idiots on this site), but one dimensional teams have their hands full with all of the Mooney talent. Field day for the LB's with the D-Line blowing into the backfield.

You can't trade scores with Mooney. Running will be consistent, passing will not be.
Whole idea is to trade scores. Qb for Minerva last TD he ran a 95 yard td with 7 or so minutes to go. Guess what?? He was done after that. You just don't know how it works.

I do wish Dover had a better D. But they don't because Coach Ifft has to go with what he has, and he doesn't have the pick of the litter in a metro area. OHSAA says it's fair no problem, but those are the same guys that put Dover at CCC last week, made me sit 90 miniutes before the game to get a good seat, wait 15-20 minutes to piss, and 15-20 minutes to get the women a damn hot chocolate. LOL just my little rant.

I hope Dover wins. There's nothing like winning the region and moving on. It's a great feeling. You have yet to get there but I hope you do this time. At least I hope you win the region because you really need that under your belt not having accomplished it yet. I'm rooting for you. Go publics!!

As a Big Red guy I have to say between Dover and Mooney I'd be more nervous playing Dover. Cannot stop that pass for the life of us.

Disagree. Mooney has talent at most positions and a winning coaching staff.

I think anyone who says this game is going to be a cake walk for the Catholics is just being disrespectful. We should get our points just like every other week, but we'll see soon enough. Here's hoping Tradition beats Tuition this Friday night.

Unfortunately for Dover, Mooney has tradition and tuition. Not many publics can say they have beat Mooney.

LOL Tradition? No you don't. I saw the "crowd" you got to show up at the Steuby game. You don't have tradition you have investors. Parents are investing in their kids' futures, not the schools future or the town's future. Sweet band you guys have too, I think Mighty Mighty Bostones had more people in it than your marching band does.
