Ready, set, go

I'm trying to get Jonathan Baldwin off waivers. After last night I think he can really grow into that KC offense, as long as Cassel trusts him. He has a few drops but he saw his targets and can move down the field. Plus, he's pretty big so I imagine they'll try to get some jump balls to him in the remaining weeks.

Baldwin would be a good pick-up but have virtually nonroom for more WRs. I'm hoping to land Javon Ringer, have him in 1/3 leagues.

I'm hoping to get Baldwin as well. I might go after Ringer but I offered a guy a trade for CJ and he countered it. Don't know if I want to take it or not.

Here we go. Couple tough calls this week.

Choose one:

DeMarco Murray vs Seattle
Shonn Greene vs Buffalo
Cedric Benson vs Tennessee
Dexter McCluster vs Miami- We get 1 pt for every 15 return yards.

This is for a flex position. RB 1 and 2 are Shady and Forte

Choose 2:

Darrius Heyward-Bey vs Denver
Braylon Edwards vs Washington
Jabar Gaffney vs SF
Dexter McCluster vs Miami- He can play either WR/RB. WR 1 and 2 are Dwayne Bowe and Brandon Marshall.

This is for WR3 and WR/TE flex.

Benson? I was leaning either him or DeMarco. I really want to play DeMarco. He ran for 74 on just 8 carries Sunday night. The Cowboys should handle the Seachickens and he should get more carries. On the other hand, you know Benson is gonna get 15-20 carries.

My reasoning is Benson is more likely to find the endzone, imo. Dallas' GL packages are geared a lot more toward fades, routes for Witten and quick slants than power runs. Cincy on the other hand will try to run it 2 of 3 downs. I think yards will be about even.

Also, keep in mind, I think Murray had like 20 yards on 6 carries then he got 2 big ones when Philly was playing nickel and had the secondary way deep. I think they were both on draws???? Then again, I was pretty hammered during that game, could be way off base.

I would go with Romo. Seemed like the Bengals had open receivers all over the place in Seattle last week.

In one league I have Run DMC, Ray Rice and Fred Jackson. Definitely startting Fred Jackson, debating on Rice (Pitt) or Run DMC (Den). Leaning towards RunDMC

I'd start DMC if he's fully healthy. Denver is really really awful.

Need to figure out two WR for this week from this group:

Mike Williams (@ NO)
Lance Moore (vs TB)
Torrey Smith (vs PIT)
David Nelson (vs NYJ)
Jonathan Baldwin (vs MIA)

Leaning Williams and Moore, but Nelson could see a lot of targets if Revis is matched with Stevie Johnson, and Baldwin is playing the lolphins, so he could have a big day if Cassel likes him.

Wow. Impressive collection of RBs. No way to play one in a flex? I would lean towards Fred Jackson and DMC. I wouldn't want any Ravens this week.

Tough call here. Look at some of the games QBs have had vs the Lolphins so I think Baldwin could have a good game. I think the other spot comes down between Williams and Nelson. I'd flip a coin.

I use this website: http://footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef

It uses % to determine a team, or players, DVOA, or Defense-Adjusted Over Average. If a player has a DVOA of 30%, they are 30% better than the average player of that position. It takes every single play into consideration, and compares it to the average of the rest of the league. It's exactly opposite on defense. A defense with a DVOA of -30% is better than a defense that has a DVOA of 30%.

Anyway, according to the site, your best bet is to go with Romo vs. the Seahawks (16.5% DVOA).

It doesn't solve everything, but it helps. Anyway, would you guys go with...

Jabar Gaffney vs SF?
or Davis Nelson vs NYJ?

I know the Jets are good against the pass, but Nelson is a great possession receiver and I'm in a PPR league.

At RB, I suck...but I dunno whether to start Ogbonnaya against Houston? Or Kevin Faulk vs the Giants?

Williams and Baldwin. But that are pretty risky options all around. Kind of a toss-up between all of them.

Jackson and RunDMC

I think Rice will put up solid numbers versus Pitt. Probably close to 125 total yards and a touch. But I like the other 2 to be even better. Nice group!

Romo. Even in a horrible week (Philly), he threw for 225 and a touchdown. Fitz will have to have a big day out of Fred Jackson to do anything. Jets just make good QBs look bad. Dalton is a solid play, but his upside is around 250 and 2 touchdowns. As I said with Romo...even in his horrible week he was 225 and 1 TD.

Running back Darren McFadden leaving building on crutches. Right foot still in protective boot. Not the look of a guy who might play Sunday.

LeGarrette Blount (New Orleans)

I have been starting Jason Witten all year, and he has given me no reason to bench him ... but I have a gut feeling about Fred Davis today. Right now I have Witten in my lineup -- am I overthinking this? Just roll with Witten?

im wondering whether to bench pierre and start obonnya(his name is spelled wrong, fuck off). seems for more of a higher ceiling in the rb start.

Thanks for the replies about my QB spot.

Now...Battle(vs MIA) or Bush(vs DEN)?

Id go with Bush. Oakland has a good line, and he will get 90% of carries and RB dump offs. But Murray, Blount and Julio Jones are solid #2 (though Jones is risky off injury)

Id just roll with Witten. I have the same dilemma actually and went with Witten, just because Dallas will likely move the ball, and in a week Witten didnt get much offensively, the Boys got rocked. I think they will change that pattern and look his way. Davis will score though. Its really a toss up and my gut is Witten, but if yours is Davis roll with him.

Id go with Garcon. Browns just arent good, so running the ball may be out of the playbook really early. Colts will be throwing and Garcon is Painters comfort WR.

Both are solid options. If roll with Bush cause I like Oaklands O-line and he will get 90% of offensive snaps without a viable back-up today. But Battle will get all carries inside the 5 for KC, and I think there will be a few of those situations today versus the Lolphins.
