Only because the QBs daddy was coach. Not because he shouldn't have been. I just find it odd that most people think he's a safety and he hasn't done well at CB, yet he plays CB.LJ;1236520 wrote:Roethlisberger didnt play WR in HS or anything....

I understood your point. But you playing LB at 160 probably has more to do with the size of your team and available bodies.Pick6;1236515 wrote:you obviously missed the point.

He played WR in HS, and then QB, where he was better. Broke state records. But I suppose they should have just left him at WR.Pick6;1236524 wrote:and I thought you play your best position in high school....why dont the steelers move him to WR???!?!

No...not trolling.

what do you think my point is? Because what I bolded is actually my point. Burrows, whether it is his best position or not, is playing there because it is best for the team, not himself.WebFire;1236525 wrote:I understood your point. I guess if playing a kid at a position where he isn't doing well is better than playing him where he kicks ass. I really doubt your example is anywhere close to why Cam is playing CB.Pick6;1236533 wrote:what do you think my point is? Because what I bolded is actually my point. This is going about the way I thought it would. Forgot you can't have decent discussion unless you are Buck fan. Later.

I dont know if my example is anywhere close to the reasoning or not, and Im not saying it is. Just saying its very common for people to play out of position in high school, and it doesnt seem like you understand that. I could find 100s of players who played a different position in HS than they do college. Hell, its not even that uncommon to hear about people playing in a different position in the NFL than they did in college.WebFire;1236539 wrote:I guess if playing a kid at a position where he isn't doing well is better than playing him where he kicks ass. Kids play different positions in high school than they'll play in college all the time. Jalin Marshall is a HS QB, he'll be a receiver at OSU. A lot of CB's move to Safety in college. It's happened at OSU quite a bit lately. Kurt Coleman went from a CB in HS to Safety at OSU and fared pretty darn well. Tyvis Powell was a HS CB and will play Safety at OSU. Christian Bryant also was made a safety when he came to OSU. It's not at all out of the ordinary.WebFire;1236539 wrote:I guess if playing a kid at a position where he isn't doing well is better than playing him where he kicks ass. I'm not disputing that. It happens all the time. All I'm saying is that if he struggles that much at his current position, and he is projected to excel at another, why doesn't he play the other? In your examples, they were still kicking ass in their former positions.se-alum;1236743 wrote:Kids play different positions in high school than they'll play in college all the time. He stood out at one big time camp, and struggled at another. I'm not sure that constitutes struggling at his current position. Also, if he needs to improve his cover skills, it's better that he remain at CB to do it.WebFire;1236754 wrote:I'm not disputing that. It happens all the time.
