Dave Biddle: Let's cut to the chase here: Bill gets his info directly from OSU's staff. If Bill says Holmes gave OSU's staff a verbal commitment today ... that's exactly what happened.
As others have said, the only thing that makes sense is that Holmes DID give a verbal to OSU's coaches as Bill reported ... and then Holmes decided he didn't want the info out there quite yet.
Is it possible that Holmes got caught up in the moment and will later change his mind? Perhaps. But he absolutely gave a verbal commitment to OSU's coaching staff today.

Looks like even Florida State insiders were saying he committed as well. Maybe a leaked silent verbal?

Scout guys just blasting Bucknuts for letting this out of the bag before the kid wanted it out there. Really, really, poor form by bucknuts if true, and not good for OSU if the kid thinks the staff leaked something.

THey also say Biddle has no direct contact with the staff and he read "rumors" on Scout, and ran with it. Oh, the insider wars.

Well seeing as how it was Bill Kruelic who reported it (who does have direct contact with the staff) I would say its pretty legit. Biddle doesn't have contact, but all he was saying was that Bill was right (which he will be)

Gonna be really pissed if the Coaching Staff and "Insider pundits" drop the ball on this one and end up costing us a pretty highly touted recruit [even tho this commitment is kinda coming out of left-field, as it is].

I only read scout but they claim the staff will not talk to Kruelic. Also claim that he got it from a staff member is not a total lie, but a "fabrication." Not sure what this means, maybe it was an equipment type guy. Allegedly, Holmes was seen jumping and clapping with the staff, but Kruelic was not around was this happened, so who knows. I just hope this circus doesn't cost OSU a recruit.

Agreed. But as a member of scout before (and now Bucknuts) I have see scout consistently start witchhunts against Bnut staff members. Bill K is one of the most conservative guys in the industry, I doubt he'd make something up he didn't hear on good authority.

I think most UK football fans are pretty loyal, at least the ones I know who have always been fans. It's pretty difficult to really be vocal about anything positive though. Most of the voices you hear/read are critics. It's nice to at least have a shot at some elite players though.

Any idea who the "big news" for Ohio State is supposed to be this evening? The obvious choice would be Jalyn Holmes after yesterday's leak, but I've been making my rounds and it sounds like Holmes is *not* the "big news." I've seen some speculation that it might be in regards to Damian Prince, but personally I just don't see that happening yet. So... anyone else with any information???

I could have seen price until he decided not to be at osu today. I havent seen this big news talk though.

Let these other schools keep talking. We said it last week, its june. Meyer and Co will close extremely strong and have another top 5 class full of studs.

Well unless kentucky steals them all since they are badasses now...lol
