I saw several of Vince's matches at Super 32 . He was dominant and in control of even the close matches.
During his cons-finals match for 3rd, there were no less than 6 college programs coaches gathered at the mat to watch, and he put on a show.
Well done Vince. I know how hard you've worked for the last 6 years.

Pickett's jump this summer was nuts. I went live with him a few go's at Groveport and was absolutely unprepared for the power in which he attacks legs. He is in so quick and finishes with such force. Wow. I had to resort to old man trickery to get anything...and even then...wow.

I'd love to see him snag that top spot this March.

WOW.... thats simply incredible... my high school coach, a guy whom i always looked up too and still do to this day, always told us something along the lines of; do you know who college scouts really pay attention too? state champs... and guys who get 3rd.. someone who can come back from a loss, and recover enough and get as high on that podium as possible, I've always been overly impressed with 3rd place finishes, especially in picketts situatuon... did he not get stuck? and come alll the way back, and get THIRD!?.. that shows a lot of heart and guts..good stuff

Congrats Vince, great tourney. Pickett is excellent in all three positions and he has a mean streak that you just can't teach. If rumors are true and Martin is at 160 and Abounader up at 182, he can absolutely win the DI title. He and defending State Champ Michael Baker will be on a collision course all season. Does anyone know if Twinsburg and Central Crossing will meet anywhere this season?
