Here's how I envision the meeting between the Afghai leaders playing out.

Random asshat: If the U.S. and Pakistan go to war, who would we back?

Asshat in charge: Well, if we go against the U.S. our country will inevitably end up a bombed out shit hole with no infrastructure, and our government will almost definitely collapse once they leave if they don't tear it down themselves before then. We'd better stick with them to make sure nothing like that ends up happening.
