Arrows after an 0-3 start, to three teams that may wind up all making the playoffs, has rebounded nicely. Winning five of their last six, their lone blemish being that fourth quarter meltdown at West Holmes, blowing a 24 point lead in the fourth quarter.

Arrows won in a blowout against Madison, Friday night, while Lexington pulled away from Mansfield Senior in the fourth quarter in their win. The Arrows's 39-14 win over the Rams gave them at least a share of the OCC crown, their fourth (2006-07, '09, and '11). More importantly, a win over the Minutemen next Friday night will give them the outright OCC title and, in all likelihood, a spot in the playoffs. A seemingly improbable possibily a few weeks ago but the Arrows are rolling now and could pull a surprise in the first round, if they can take care of business next Friday night!


IMO, this has been Coach Valentine's best job at Ashland since taking over in '02, where he basically took over a 0-20 program.

Not to be picky but they only blew a 17 point lead in the 4th quarter, a 24 point lead in the game.

The Defense has really been playing well and the running game is a pleasant suprise.

I think they need to keep doing what they have been doing and keep the offense balanced.

I felt it was just a matter of time for the Arrows....good coaches and great numbers in the program will keep you guys contenders for a while. I would hat to see the WH game be the difference maker for a playoff spot. That would be a hard pill to swallow all off season.

Ashland is #7 in region 7. Bring on Lex.

Win over Lexington and the Arrows are stand alone OCC Champs and playing in Week 11.

We are in the playoffs win or lose.

Yeah, but a win might improve their seeding. Wow, Region 7 looks kind of weak with the exception of Marion Franklin and maybe Big Walnut. I think if Arrows can win Friday, that might propel them to another march towards another regional final appearance.
