I don't think it was an upset.

Boardman pretty much has owned GO lately. Beat them bad last year

The McKinley vs Boardman game is basically a league title game... If the bulldogs beat Boardman it could set up a 3 way tie for the federal league title.. Depending on GlenOak week 9 and 10 and Boardman week 10

I disagree, The only people going all ga ga over them, are Plain Twp. people, and Todd Porter/the Repository. Are they a good team? Yep, they are, I think they could make it to the Regional Finals, however, I really don't see them going past that. I personally think they're a pretty good football team.

This is not a huge upset as both teams are very good

That was not an upset. Boardman is now Federal League champs and they sit at 6-2 on the year. They blew 4th quarter leads in the first two games to Benedictine and Mooney. They are arguably the best team in the M.V. this year. They don't look great on offense, but they have a pretty damn good defense.

No they're not. They didn't blow a 4th quarter lead against Mooney, Mooney drove it down their throat. If they were "arguably" the best team in the Mahoning Valley, they would have won that game (at home)

They're doing great though, and I hope they totally close the deal on Friday!!

Wow, you're a touchy fellow aren't you? Do you understand the meaning of arguably? Judging from your previous post, you have no understanding of the word.

I think that a 5-2 team, ranked 9th in the computer, beating a 7-0 team ranked 1th in the computer, is most defiantly an upset.

Nope

Games are played on the field, not on a computer. That really has nothing to do with it

I can guarantee you that most people from the Mahoning Vally would have picked Boardman without much hesitation

Just look at what happened last year at Glen Oak. And Boardman's much better this year

You should probably get out of Stark County once in a while. There's a whole other world out there

This was not an upset, and it certainly wasn't "A HUGE upset" That's actually pretty funny

I completely agree with you!

A 5-2 team beating a 7-0 team, is one of the biggest upsets this week.

Boardman at home, and the way they have been playing, everyone seen this coming!

I bet noone saw this game ending the way it did, with Boardman winning.

Another reason why this win by Boardman wasn't an upset, and certainly not "a HUGE" upset, is that Boardman's 2 losses, being against very solid OOC opponents hurt in the computer overall

Why Glen Oak was beating 2-5 Euclid and 3-4 Firestone, Boardman had Mooney and away at 6-1 Benedictine, It made the records a little bit deceiving for those not familiar with Boardman's play so far

And , throw in the fact that Boardman is 5-1 against Glen Oak with 2 shut outs over the last 6 years, (a couple of those wins very big, including last years) it wasn't hard at all to see this coming

They aren't league champs yet they got one to go and don't count out the bulldogs playing at home against Boardman... Like has been said here games aren't played on paper
