Night game at Notre Dame Stadium.
Irish are off this week and that should give them a chance to get healthy. Ethan Johnson missed the Air Force game and Manti sprained his ankle during practice last week but played through it yesterday.
Kelly wouldn't answer a question about wearing green jerseys in his teleconference but did say "I didn't know we had green jerseys. If we did, we'd think about it."

If I'm Kiffin...my gameplan is to throw it at Gary Gray EVERY PLAY!
I think this one is going to be a really tight one. But I think the Irish win it by 6.

Can't fucking wait. Judging by Kelly's response....they're gonna rock the green jerseys. First night game at ND in 21 years. This is gonna be a long two weeks.

Well I think we can all understand one point: the defense that played against Air Force is not the defense you will see against the Trojans.
If I'm Kiffin, I'm moving Robert Woods all over the field, and throwing his way deep over Gray and short at Shembo. A ton of outside runs would keep Diaco's defense off balance. I don't expect Notre Dame to run a lot of cover 2, so the run help on the outside won't be there.
I don't see this Irish offense getting slowed down by the Trojans though. Kelly is opening it all up, and it looks beautiful.
I could see the Irish romping, I really could. Shut Robert Woods down and it's over for Barkley.

A long two weeks, indeed..
I like where ND is at right now offensively, and won't put a lot of stock into the yards the defense gave up against AF. ND has started fast in just about every game, and it will be very important to do the same against USC. First night game in 21 years, and the crowd will be amped for this one. Will have to see what happens with USC this week before I make a prediction.
Also, how good did Hendrix look in his limited time?! BK is going to have a tough time keeping him off the field. I like Rees a lot, and Tommy had a great game, but damn it was fun watching Hendrix make plays with his feet. He throws the ball very well too. There are so many young exciting players on this team right now.

I don't think Kelly intends to keep him off the field. He has a set package of plays that he is able to run which will be expanded moving forward, so he will play. He isn't ready to take over full time, so it will be split time moving forward. Kelly also said that Crist is still the backup so if something did happen to Tommy, he would go in to run the whole offense.

I didn't watch the game, but did Crist play at all? If not, was he hurt, or did Kelly just want to give Hendrix some PT?

Hendrix played on the second or third series of the game and it was planned for him to get snaps regardless. He saw time throughout the rest of the game. Crist didn't play and probably won't barring injury to Rees or Rees playing like he did against Pitt prior to the GW drive.

They can't run the ball and have had two starters leave the game already one with an air cast on his foot and the other can't lift his shoulder. Also, Cal is brutal.

They aren't awesome at all. Barkley is a good QB and Woods is putting up huge numbers as a receiver. Get a fucking clue.

This game is always fun to watch...one of the most underrated 'rivalries'' in CFB. I will always remember the 85 yd touchdown scamper by HS classmate Eric Penick in the 1973 game, that broke Southern Cal's back.

watch and enjoy.....Eric won the Ohio state track tournament for Gilmour all by himself, winning the 100, 220, and 440 yd dash.
once he broke into the secondary, nobody was gonna catch him!
