By the way...the only confirmed liar I know of is Tressel. He's also a confirmed cheater -- both of them by NCAA standards.
Your posts about Urban Meyer on this site....

Bull.
He's a liar and he can't be trusted.
If he's putting his health at risk because he "loves coaching SO MUCH" blah blah blah -- then add really stupid to liar, so far as my descriptions of the man.
I've done a complete 180 on Meyer, having loved him at BG and defended him to OSU folks when he took the FL job, saying he'd be successful there.
Coaching in the SEC has apparently degraded his character, though, because I see no other reason to start lying about stuff nobody gives a damn about, otherwise (his trip to the hospital after the SEC title game).
Now putting in all this time and effort to keep a recruiting class together that was OBVIOUSLY falling apart the minute he announced he was stepping down.
Again, it's too damn obvious he's lying about something here -- and I despise liars.
Oh, and saying Meyer is a liar isn't taking a shot. It's stating a documented fact.
As why I "care" whether or not Urban's a liar -- I think I already said I detest liars; especially those who use the lies to make themselves look (1) good (2) better (3) sympathetic.
Do all college coaches lie?
I doubt it.
I'm sure many of them do, but I haven't seen any do it on the scale this was done.
That Meyer lied about his health issues is a documented fact.
Please show me similar documentation regarding ANY of your allegations that Tressel is behind paying his quarterbacks.
Nobody is a harsher media credit than me -- but Meyer was so far in the wrong on this one, nothing could save him.
The apology was likely dictated by those who sign his paycheck. The last thing they wanted was for this to be dragged out any longer.
As for why he did it (protecting a player...yeah okay, whatever), it doesn't excuse how he handled this whole thing -- which was wrong from the getgo.
Meyer is too smart and has had to have received media training by now, so one can only assume his ego and arrogance got the best of him.

If that ends up being the case, I'm simply amazed at how gullible these kids are where Meyer is concerned. I guess when you lie enough, you get really good at it.
What opinion? Meyer is a liar. A documented liar.
He said he was too ill to continue coaching. Then he backtracked. Was he lying when he said he was ill or is he lying now?
He said he went to the hospital for dehydration when it was much more serious. He lied about that, too.
Seems to me there's no "opinion" involved here. Only facts.
Oh and I say this as a BG grad who at one time loved and supported this guy. I even defended him to OSU folks who thought he was a scumbag. Well, he's acting like a real "SEC guy" now and I can't defend him, anymore.

That said, Meyer is a documented liar, already.
I think it's funny this is being blamed on OSU fans -- when it's pretty obvious it originated on a S. Carolina site. True or not, Meyer is a documented liar so I don't know why these kids keep falling for his schtick
