So a crowd should always be allowed to say whatever they want and never be controlled even if they are chanting they want to hurt and injury cops?

and there are procedures on levels of forced used.


clearly the protesters are ignoring level one and two.

Once again, I was talking about insults/taunts. If that is what a crowd is doing then yes, they should be allowed to do it. Grow some thicker skin.

Threats bring with them different legal repercussions I believe depending on what they are and should be dealt with appropriately. I believe I'm allowed saying I'd like to kick someone's ass and as long as I don't actually attempt to do so I'm legally protected. It's different with death threats though. (If I'm wrong there someone please educate me).

American forefathers did not ask for permission to protest from the King.

I would say a large crowd insulting/taunting cops while continuing to disobey orders to disperse would constitute a possible threat to property or people.

I didn't see them get shoved there. If someone did do that to the ladies then the police there should have done their jobs and arrested them. Pretty simple and not an indictment of the movement as a whole.

If the OWS crowd is "just like the Tea Party", then they need to be just like the Tea Party and pay-up. Nobody rides for free.

Richmond, Va. — The Richmond tea party is demanding a refund of about $10,000 from the city, claiming it unfairly charged them for rallies while allowing the Occupy protesters to use the same space for several weeks for free.
The political organization is sending the city an invoice for the charges incurred for three rallies held in Kanawha Plaza over the past three years. The Occupy protesters have been camped in the plaza since Oct. 15.
Richmond Tea Party spokeswoman Colleen Owens says it's not fair that her group had to pay fees for permits, portable toilets, police presence and emergency personnel. The group also had to purchase a $1 million insurance policy.
Tea party groups across the nation have raised similar concerns since the protests spread from New York earlier this month.

police didnt witness the crime, cant arrest on site. however if they were allowed to disperse the crowd, never would have happend ;)

Well, that's not true, since it would be easy to buy new ones from outside the US, but it WOULD eliminate deaths resulting from registered firearms.

The nutbag crowd pressed against them resulting in two grannies going down. The few cops would have had to arrest most of the crowd.

Not this one incident. But you have rapes, underage girls getting banged, groping of women, defacating on cop cars, and the list goes on. There is not a large amount of people involved in the movement nationally. So this many instances in a short period of time is quite disturbing.

There has been more filth and violence at any one of these sites than all the Tea Party rallies put together. The behavior of the people in the "movement" is indictment enough.

Screaming at a police office and inciting a crown to can be considered disorderly conduct. Why don't the protestors simply protest? They would garner more respect and attention from those they are trying to influence.
