The St. Louis Post-Dispatch claims the bullpen couldn't hear TLR's calls for Motte because of the crowd noise. They suggested using a cell and sending a text.
Tony really blew it last night. All those scoring opportunities and not once did we see an attempt to squeeze in a run. Running Craig with Pujols at bat was dumb enough, but they tried it twice. Double-dumb in my book.
Now it comes back to St. Louis and what should be the coldest, wettest Game Six in recent memory. I think that a real premium will be placed on manufacturing runs, as the ball simply isn't going to travel very far with the weather conditions. I'm hoping for Game Six to be postponed until Thursday, so we can see a Friday night finish, with "all hands on deck".
