As long as you have the right cable provider as well. Bastards don't have Comcast I can't use!

Being able to watch ESPN on your phone or computer has to do with who your cable provider is. You have to set it up online first, then sign in on your phone, so if your cable isn't through Verizon, Time Warner, or a few others, your best bet will be to just do a Google search for a live stream of the game.

So if you have an iPhone on AT&T you can't use the app? That doesn't make sense.

No, you can't use the app. Just as you can't really use the TNT, TBS, or any other channel app. You have to sign into the app through your cable provider log in. The problem with this is, those apps only support a few providers.

If you have high speed internet at home through Verizon, you can also log in that way.

However, in my instance, I have cable and internet through Buckeyecable and they're not supported by the WatchESPN app, thus I can't use it.

You can use it if you have Time Warner Cable. Basically the way that the app works is that you are paying for it through your cable provider. I have Time Warner Cable, so I pay them money each month, the then pay ESPN more money than most other cable providers, which gives me the right to watch ESPN online or on my phone. Your phone provider doesn't matter. You could have a smart phone on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. and as long as you have Time Warner or one of the other few providers that has this deal with ESPN, you can watch ESPN on our phone. If you don't you're out of luck (but your cable bill is probably a bit cheaper).
