Why couldn't Pink floyd just reunite for a tour (before Richard Wright passed away)? They would have made a billion in that tour.

I'm listening to Pulse right now.

And yes, PF should have toured. Dicks.

Yeah I know. But swallow your pride, make fat stacks, then go back to hating each other.

Pink Floyd is one of the few bands I wanted to see but never did. I saw David Gilmour at Cleveland Public Hall in '84. 'Murder', 'Blue Light', 'All Lovers Are Deranged'... I still recall how great the acoustics were. Good old days.

No shit. One of the greatest bands of all time. So influential and innovative. I always argue with misguided friends that say The Beatles were better. More popular, yes. Better? Not even close.

Yeah. I like The Beatles (McCartney's concert in Cincinnati was the best I've ever been to) but Pink Floyd is on another level.

Pink Floyd was a great band. I got to see them twice and those were two of the best shows I could ever imagine. However, Pink Floyd can't touch the Beatles. The sheer range and variety of the Beatles' work is miles beyond Floyd. Floyd is great, don't get me wrong. But they can't even carry the mic stand for the Beatles.

It looks like we have a disagreement here. What's the next step? Do we arm wrestle or something?

Here we go with the Beatles. The Beatles were a bubble gum pop group originally. They eventually put out some decent work; but Pink Floyd, both musically and lyrically, shits all over the Beatles.

An honest assessment of the actual music proves you wrong. Early Beatles was pop, although it had a total different sound from what was popular at the time. They quickly evolved to more complex folk and rock. They made all of their published music in only 7 years time. Pick an album the the White Album. The diversity on the record is way beyond anything Pink Floyd could think of doing.

Pink Floyd is great when you're a teenager and twenty something. And the laser lights at their shows are cool at that age too. But prolonged listening reveals a repetitive sound that is basic and depressing. If your standing on a ledge and thinking of jumping, but can't quite make up your mind. Put on a Floyd record and the depression will convince you to jump.
