"Accepting that the end was near, the funny grandfather and great-grandfather said earlier in the day there was an upside to death: at least he wouldn't have to watch another Bengals loss."
That's freaking awesome!

bengals should sell the team and move. Worst organization in the history of sports.

^^^ Mike Brown is not selling. He's making a freaking fortune down there. Too bad the city or the county has no juice to boot them out of dodge.

He will probably still only watch the Bengals in heaven (if there is one) when they are doing well. They are the biggest joke of a fanbase anywhere they go.

Actually I don't blame the Bengal fanbase for not suporting the team. In fact, there are still a very large number who do and they are total fools. People compare the Browns situation and say that despite the Brown's failure, the fans remain loyal. The difference in Cincinnati is every year ownership literally tells the fans to go eff themselves, the ownership will continue to do things the way they want. Browns ownership has at least listened to their fan base (or pretended to do so) and has made changes.

Agreed^ when I think of mike brown I think of how shitty Dolan is for the tribe and there are many Cleveland fans on here that disappeared once the tribe went on there losing skid to be out of the playoffs. So really us Cleveland fans have no shit to talk on bengals fans

No we have plenty of shit. It is much easier to fill a stadium for 8 games for the most popular sport in this country than it is to fill a stadium for 81 games in a sport that has been losing interest year by year.Crimson streak;915564 wrote:Agreed^ when I think of mike brown I think of how shitty Dolan is for the tribe and there are many Cleveland fans on here that disappeared once the tribe went on there losing skid to be out of the playoffs. Before I continue on this discusison, I should explain I am not a Bengal fan. I am originally from the Ohio Valley. I moved to Cincinnati in the early 90s to go to college. I lived in Cincinnati for seven years so I have a pretty good idea about the subject. As far as your positon, I must respectfully say you don't know what you are talking about. Trust me, there are a lot of people in Southwest Ohio (and other parts of the state and all of Kentucky) who are Bengal fans. They don't show up to games out of protest of bad management for the past 20 years. Mike Brown is a poumpous jerk. Every year he gets on TV and radio and tells people he hears the complaints but he knows what he is doing and the people don't (I am being serious.). He has consistently kept bad coaches around much longer than he should, he has consistently been way under the salary cap, he has consistently brought in guys with questionable backgrounds because he could get them cheap (see Chris Henry, Pacman Jones, Cedric Benson and a cast of thousands) and his scouting department consists of his brother and one of his buddies. He has refused to hire a GM but pays himself a GM salary.like_that;915597 wrote:No we have plenty of ****. People are fed up. Despite 2 winnings seasons in the past 20 years under Mike Brown ownership, people still showed up in droves for a number of years.. They bought Bengal merchandise. They hope that by going to games Mike Brown will change his ways.

This is pretty true. And it's actually even more evident by the fact that when the Bengals were 10-6 and in the playoffs, Chad Ochocinco and Motorola had to buy out thousands of tickets (which they literally gave away) so that the team would be on TV. If they were fair-weather fans, the Bengals would have been selling out the stadium that year. But they weren't. Because Mike Brown is a douche bag.Little Danny;915628 wrote:Before I continue on this discusison, I should explain I am not a Bengal fan. I am originally from the Ohio Valley. When Mike Brown dies you will hear a load cheer in the general direction of Cincy. As a life long Bengal, I too will not spend a penny on Bengal merchandise or watch a game until MB is gone. Bengal fans have seen their team go to 2 Super Bowls under Paul Brown's reign and saw football genius at work. To follow that up with a son who has no interest in winning on the field (only in his pocketbook) makes the contrast even more sickening.
The Cleveland Browns are so far removed from Paul Brown's winning ways that virtually all Browns fans have forgotten what a well ran organization looks like let alone winning consistently. They are like Cub fans. Winning isn't really expected and getting drunk at the game is the real goal.
