Not good. Looks like those guys were dealing the stuff (although I am sure they partaked in their fair share of wacky tobacky as well).

Frankly, I could care less if Simpson, Collins or any NFL football player smoked weed. What I don't understand is why those guys would risk their fat salaries dealing the stuff. Do they actually need the extra cash?

They play for Mike Brown. Thats enough to make you smoke it and deal it.

They make good money, but nothing crazy. I'm sure there is more money in the drugs they were moving.

Looks like Binns may get a shot sooner than anyone expected.

The voice that was inside their head that sounded like Nate Newton made them do it.

I don't personally think weed is bad for people... but as it stands it is illegal. Anyone who has THAT much weed (probably for distributing) or even smokes if they make a healthy (read above 50k/yr) amount of money already is dumb in my opinion. It's just not worth the risk.

I have nothing against weed. I don't think it's any worse than alcohol. But it is illegal and those are the rules you have to play by.

Really QQ4F, I wouldn't have thought that you, the Rule Meister, would have this opinion. /sarcasm. Go back to hall monitoring dweeb.

Well...the NFLPA did tell the players to save money and/or find an alternate form of income during the lockout. Maybe their business took off during the lockout

What does salary have to do with anything? How is it any riskier to smoke pot if you make $52k than it is if you make $42k?

If you test positive and get fired 42k jobs are a lot easier to come by than 52k jobs.

Well, this is assuming one has to take a drug test. I make well over $50k and don't get drug tested or have to hide the fact that I occasionally smoke pot from my boss.

Presumably the risks of getting caught are the same... but generally you stand to lose much more depending on your life situation.

I think he should have stuck to dealing weed when you make millions is dumb. Especially when you are in the NFL. Too much Risk:Reward.

But his figure of 50k was off. Thats not that much cash, and you can make many more times that in the weed business.

I really should get into the weed business in more of a capacity than "consumer".

You can make a lot more than that in the weed business... and at the same time lose it all eventually. Drug dealing has a pretty nasty end game.

I did just chose a number based upon thought but no actual research. But I figured if a person can earn 50k a year they will be able to live a reasonable life (obviously depending on how many children if he/she is married). But my basic point is... when you have a certain point of positive going on in your life... why risk losing it all for an illegal drug?
