Dad just brought home a Nike SQ Machspeed Round that he won at a business outing (long drive). It will probably end up in my bag.
3 wood: Shit, bought it at GW
5 wood: ""
3-PW: Zevo ZV-2
Wedge: Adams Tom Watson 56 degree
Putter: Cheap one I bought because I broke the one I had for years.
As you can see I could use some investing in my bag but other things (tuition, books, beer) come first.

Thing is other than 3W and 5W and a putter I'm perfectly happy with my clubs. Even before that new driver I have a GBBII which I like and I love the way my irons play. I've never been one who's wanted to change clubs frequently.

I've heard the slingshots are the most forgiving iron out there, and nearly impossible to miss with. How would you rate them?ernest_t_bass;900996 wrote:Driver: Nike Sasquatch (2007)

I don't play enough to really give a true rating, but I know that it would be tough to go to another iron. I don't think "true" golfers should get Slingshots. The head/base is so fat. I have a "regular" 60º wedge (like a regular iron) and I constantly miss with it. I think it is b/c I am so used to the fat-headed slingshots.ZWICK 4 PREZ;901335 wrote:I've heard the slingshots are the most forgiving iron out there, and nearly impossible to miss with. Well 60* are tough to hit to begin with. Really have to stay down through and make good contact or you'll blade it. And you're right, the advanced golfer probably wouldn't like the size of it, but the average golfer probably would considering how many people are playing hybrids.

I haven't had great luck with Titleist. I bought a set of AP2 710 irons and they weren't even close to spec. You could visually see they were off at setup. And they weren't linear either. I ordered 1 degree upright and some were 3 degree upright and some were 2 degree flat. The guy I take my equipment to said that was pretty par for course with Titleist. Needless to say that was me first and only dealings with Titleist.

Had Titleist Irons ever since the 990b's. Never a Titleist wood guy, but both my 3 wood and driver shafts snapped (Taylor Made V-steel and a Grafalloy Red X-stff on a Nike Dymo) and it ended up being cheaper to get new (but used) clubs. Out here in Arizona there's a ton more roll than in Ohio so I went to the 909D3 for a lower trajectory.ZWICK 4 PREZ;902739 wrote:Titleist guy huh?
