Huge game next Saturday at Stambaugh as YSU (1-1) takes on Illinois State (1-1) in a huge Missouri Valley Football Conference game.

YSU played Michigan State solid for 3.5 quarters, before falling 28-6. Then last night, YSU demolished the worst FCS team in America, the Valparaiso Crusaders, 77-13. Illinois State is 1-1 with a 33-26 loss at FCS Eastern Illinois and a 54-21 over FCS Morehead State last night.

The Redbirds used back-to-back Hail Mary's to defeat YSU in Normal, IL last season 41-39. This is the biggest game of the year thus far for Youngstown State. To ALL of the Youngstown members of this site, COME OUT SATURDAY and cheer on the Penguins!

I would hope. After seeing the pathetic actual attendance for the home opener, I'm not holding my breathe.

This is a toss-up game with YSU getting the edge as the home team. Should be a close game.

17,000 tickets sold for tomorrow's game. Could have over 18,000 when it is all said and done!

GO YSU!
