(0-3) Youngstown Ursuline
at (3-0) Zanesville

Ursuline is off to their worst start in quite some time after falling 9-0 to Mentor Lake Catholic last night. Zanesville is coming off a 55-14 win over Hamilton Ross.

The next two weeks are must-win's for Ursuline against Zanesville and Steubenville Big Red. Although 0-3, wins over those two would give Ursuline a ton of computer points moving forward.

Who wins?

Ursuline starts to turn it around this week by handing it to the Blue Devils.

I have missed the last two Ursuline games because I opted to attend the YSU-Michigan State and YSU-Valparaiso games. I may attend Friday night's game. The Irish need the support of the fans this week. Must win for Ursuline!

Ursuline's game to win if they want it enough. Zanesville is good, but Ursuline is a great team.

ZHS should keep it close for awhile. However, the Blue Devils have a nice rug to play on and expect UHS speed to be the difference. First win for the Irish.

I think Ursuline can win this, but it is all going to depend on how much Ursuline believes in themselves. It's easy for a team to lose their first three games and pack it up for the season. If these guys realize how good they are, and commit to turning around the season, they can definitely rattle off a few wins and be in good shape.

Im sure they believe themselves considering they play the 8th toughest schedule in the USA

Look the problem is Ursuline just seems to not have the offense to play in a shoot out against these last 3 schools. They in my book should have won last week. I had them for the win and they didn't score a point. I just don't know now if Ursuline bit off more then they could chew with this years schedule. I only see a 6-4 season or 5-5. And fortunately that should be enough to get them in the playoffs. and they should have hardly any problem winning in div 5. face it there is a difference between playing div 1 and 2 then div 5. there is only one area team that will hang with them in the playoffs.

May just be a rough year for the U. I mean, you had to replace Kempe who was your starter for 2 or 3 years, Mr. Freaking Football, and not to mention Conlan and others.

May take some time for these kids to get their feet wet and feel comfortable.

No D5 team will hang with them in our area thats a fact. 2tds called back last week which would have given them the game. Still a great team playing teams very well especialy a great mentor team which was a play away from going ursuilnes way a mentor team that absolutley tore up St iggy last week. Ursuline could have played Poland Canfield and Howland and would be 3-0 right now sad that they have the schedule they do. It happens when nobody around here wants to step up and play them.

Fitch will play Catholic Schools from Canada, but not a Catholic School from 10 minutes away. What a joke.

Maybe they have a rule against playing against their own kids?

1. Fitch playing a Canadian team whether Catholic or not is more than a joke, it's a sham. I'm with you on that one.

2. Fitch was the last Mahoning County public school to schedule Ursuline. Played the games in Week #3. (;)I think you were there). Ursuline's State Runner-Up Team (;) I think you were there) beat the 1-9 Fitch Team 21-14 at your place.

3. All of sudden, Ursuline's signed on to play MLC in Week#3 , and have been playing them Week#3 every year since......What's up with that?

4. Some good news, Fitch and Mooney next year and the year after. Some better news would be Fitch and Ursuline on each others schedule too.

Don't worry 4 wins probably will get the University into the playoffs so they can collect another D5 trophy they are spending so heavily for.

Ursuline has a lot at stake this week. Bad performance on Saturday, which included some tempers going at it on the Irish sidelines. Ursuline has not faced this kind of adversity in quite some time. Friday night's game will make or break this season in my eyes. Ursuline is good enough to go 6-1 or 5-2 the rest of the schedule, but they have to believe in themselves.

Wow dude. i dont even see them getting a win this week to tell you the truth. Not only is the team struggling to keep a cool head. But the team has lost confidence. And don't be so sure that the area DIV 5 team wont hang with them. Just saying not starting or taking anything away from them. But Ursuline should be 2-1 not 0-3. I am in shock. And this team they play this week is just as good as last weeks team that they lost too. I'm for any area team beating the snot out of teams out of the area. So i don't know what to say about that.

I agree with you. I saw the Mentor-Iggy game on tv. I believe Ursuline will win big this week at Zanesville. With their schedule, the Irish could get into the playoffs at 5-5. I've talked to a couple of people who have seen Ursuline play. They are loaded.

You are way off on this comment! You all are nowhere near as good as you were last 2 years. Coldwater would put that beat down on you for sure but on the other hand you will not find out because you wont make the playoffs! Tell your AD to stop scheduling teams that are way better than you. Makes no sense!!!

I will never pick a D5 school over ursuline until a D5 school in Ohio does it.

I guess im just a realist. If all these teams in D5 can beat up on ursuline then why dont they ever ask ursuline to play in the regular season im sure ursuline would not say no saying the fact that they struggle to get teams to play them anyway. Also when Ursuline loses everyone always says looking good for the rest of D5 ursuline is a step out of the playoffs? no team will want to play Ursuline in D5 period.
