He did a 1 on 1 with Erin Andrews. Then the guys on the live set all said his tantrum was out of line. Meyer and Desmond Howard said the language is unacceptable. Herbie kind of ripped him too.

A couple minutes later they show JoePa in a gym pep rally using damn, ass, and hell in a different context and it was all laughs.

Damn, ass and hell are nothing compared to what Kelly was saying.

Also, Kelly comes off as a douche. JoePa comes off as a likeable, senile , coaching legend

It was a good interview for Kelly. I doubt he loses it that bad ever again.

Context is key. Kelly seemed like he had no control over himself on the sideline. On top of that, he's the coach at a faith based school. He shouldn't be behaving like that, and if he has to, he needs to make sure no camera is on him

Still don't see what the big deal is. If I was the coach of ND, and my team made that many stupid mistakes I'd be yelling my ass off too.

I played high school football at a Catholic school. I had coaches who had salty language. So what? Only in the ESPN age does this become a capital offense. We're going to produce a society of wimps if we're now getting our panties in a bunch over a football coach dropping f-bombs. I think Herby and his buddies would object to General Patton.

Brian Kelly just proving what many already knew. He has dominated in conferences and divisions with lesser talent. He can't coach with the big boys. Even with Notre Dame's light schedule.

Even with Notre Dame's light schedule.
Not many teams in America have had a rougher first 2 games than Notre Dame

Not saying they have the easiest schedule in the country, but a lot of the teams on their schedule that are historically great programs (USC, UM, Pitt) are middle of the road teams this season and have been for a couple of seasons. Throw in the service academies and a couple of emerging teams that haven't quite cracked into the top tier level (USF) and all you are left with is Stanford and MSU (who proved they were a pretender and benefited from a weak schedule last season).

I don't hate ND, but from what I have seen, I am not impressed. They have been the better team in 2 games and blew it.

You make it seem like you don't know shit about football either with Brian Kelly "can't coach with the big boys" comments. The game plans for these two games were both excellent. 1023 yards of offense in two games (10th in the country), holding USF to one touchdown and 254 yards (13th best in the country), and a perfect performance against Michigan through three quarters...before the bottom absolutely fell out. You seriously look like a buffoon questioning his ability to coach; if you can't see the improvements in the team's overall play and performance this year verses 2007/2008/2009 then you are blind.

Does anyone else see a tremendous flaw in your argument that Notre Dame's schedule is weak and yet you call them "the big boys?"

South Carolina (ECU, Georgia) is the only team in the top 25 that I think has had a tougher schedule to this point.

yeah, I'll go with that. I think if notre dame could start with akron maybe they could afford 5 turnovers and get a win and some confidence... but at this point I dont even know what brian kelly can say in the locker room. he has to be very confused and disappointed.
