I want to buy my little brother some tickets this year. He has been talking about the Wisky/Ohio State game all summer. His birthday is in October so being the good brother where are the best seats for a decent price?C-deck?

At this time of the year, for the Wisky/Ohio State game the best seats will be the ones you get. I'm not trying to be a smart *** but I think those will be hard tickets to get. So literally, get what you can and enjoy the game. There is always someone outside the stadium selling tickets but you'll pay a lot for those on game day.

Stubhub would be the best to look but, their service charges are outrageous.

Stub hub is an overpriced joke. You can scalp them for half their prices

Your best bet is probably Indiana...November 5th.

I have found good deals in the past from scalpers right after kickoff. They start to get desperate at that point.

Don't get B-deck tickets, you'll probably have a pillar in front of you cutting off some of your view.

Also, Ticket Exchange is the official reseller of OSU tickets, so you may get a slightly better deal there than on Stubhub.

I would also suggest posting an add on the Columbus Craiglist saying you're looking for tickets. People interested in selling theirs will email you.

But if it rains, you're dry as you get to use C-Deck people as an umbrella.

Stub hub is a rip off from what I've seen. If OSU loses a game, the prices will drop dramatically everywhere. Your best bet is to get them game day from a scalper, and as Al Bundy indicated the prices will get lower as kickoff approaches. I've gone to games several times without tickets thinking if I can't scalp them I'll just find a bar to watch the game and I've never had any trouble getting tickets without paying more than $100. Just take a seating chart because the scalpers will lie about how good the seats are. And C-deck is definitely my favorite.

I was going to ask HOW desperate/cheap they will get and if it depends on the team. I'm guessing this is pretty universal no matter what stadium you go to.

The most I've paid is $100 for a single to Michigan. If OSU is undefeated things can get crazy, but as soon as they lose tickets get a lot cheaper. And if it rains they get cheaper too. I paid $20 for Purdue one year when it was raining and then a girl gave me a pair as I was going into the stadium. I called a couple of buddies who were tailgating and it ended up being a great game. We blocked a field goal to seal the win. :)

I might try that with a Michigan game this year. It'd be awesome to see Michigan-Nebraska for around face value ~$100

I've only scalped at the shoe, but I assume it's the same at other stadiums

Go to the Jesse Owens Memorial right in front of the stadium...best place to scalp. Always seem to be more people with extra tickets rather than the pro-ticket brokers with handfuls of Section 34 - A (worst seat inthe house).

It has been awhile, but I bought a single seat off of a scalper in the big house for a reasonable price for a UM-MSU game about 10 years ago. I paid $50 or $60. The quality of the team, quality of opponent, rivalry factor, and weather have a lot to do with it. I have gone tailgaiting to some big stadiums and figure that I will just enjoy the game elsewhere if I can't find a good deal. One year I got a ticket for $10 at MSU about half-way through the first quarter. If scaplers still have tickets as kickoff approaches, you have a lot of leverage in the negotiation, especially if you are willing to split up and take single seats.
