Tennessee fans seem to think this will be an easy game for them... Not really sure sure why they think that since they haven't been relevent in over a decade. Not sure if anyone has read this article but its pretty rough on the bearcats. Worse than anything I've heard from any of the Cincy haters on this site.

Really can't wait til this game. UC is going to be playing with a chip on their shoulder and I really look for the to pound Tenn. this saturday

I'll say UC 42(no way they stop our offense) Tenn 24(UC has a much improved D)

I was kind of disappointed with Cincy last year. I thought they were set up to have another good run. I don't know anything about them this year, but I can almost assure that Tennessee will not be anything special. That program fell off a cliff.

I read the article. While the Conference USA digs were inflammatory, the author seemed to back the assertions up factually quite succinctly.

The Bearcats were a disappointment last year, no doubt. There was a barrage of injuries, ineligibility, lack of depth (due to some poor recruiting) and players having difficulty buying into a new staff. As a result, there were protection issues on the OL causing Zach Collaros to turn the ball over. On defense last year the two deep was comprised entirely of under classman. The depth was so poor the best players played almost every staff causing them to be fatigued in the second half.

I don't know what to expect from the 'Cats this season. On paper, it looks like it could be a great season. They return almost everyone from the leagues #1 offense. However, there are still issues with depth on the OL. On defense, they return everybody on the two deep roster. However, the defense was atrocious last year. UC has recruited some JUCOs and some very talented freshman who look to contribute right away. For this reason I like to think the defense will be much improved.

I like what I see from Coach Jones. The players appear to be buying into his program. The strength and conditioning coach has done wonders with these players. Butch Jones has recruited the best classes to ever come to Clifton the past two years and this 2012 class is lining up to be even better. If he manages to stick around for a few years, this program could be really good once again.

This UT squad is not your older brother's UT. Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, Jamal Lewis et al. do not play here anymore. The Vols have lost games recently to bad teams like Wyoming and UCLA (twice). They nearly were upset by UAB last year. I would not be surprised if the 'Cats pulled this one out.

You were pretty good at your prediction. 45-23 the other way.

I thought that article was pretty good. BTW my Daughter and her Husband made the trek to Knoxville and were at the game. (I still cheered for Tennessee)

Tyler Bray is becoming a stud. I think Tennessee is going to be much like South Carolina was last year. They will likely lose 3-5 games, but from what I've seen out of them after two games, I'm impressed with them.

If you had any idea of the turmoil surrounding UT sports in the last five years, you'd understand. This is the first time since 2006 that the Vols have started off 2-0.

I'm still trying to get over this loss, 3 huge moments really made this game, UC going for it TWICE on 4th and 1 and not getting it, and the Onside Kick by Tenn. Pead had a good game though, 14 carries 150+ yards and a score.

Agreed. UC really knocked the Vols on their heels with Pead's TD run, but things took a turn for the worse after that onside kick. The Vols suddenly started to play with confidence and the crowd really got into the game singing "Rocky Top" over and over again.

I had no problem with the decisions to go for it on 4th and 1 (the first call was 4th and inches), I just don't like the playcalls and obviously the execution. Jones should have brought in Jordan Luallen and played him under center to sneak that ball and pick up the real estate. Alternatively, since the Vols stacked the box Collaros could have probably picked up a first down (or more) with a pass play.
