Happy Valley is buzzing over this weekend's clash between #3 Alabama and #23 Penn State in Beaver Stadium.
I've been watching the RV's already rolling off I-99 and I-80 into State College to camp out in the local Wal Mart parking lots in anticipation of the 3:30 kick-off (ABC) on Saturday.
I doubt there's much interest in OC land on this one, but it will clearly give Buckeye fans a clue as to whether or not the Nittany Lions will be a force in the Big 10 this season.

Hopefully psu can pull the stunner. But I doubt it. Have to hope the crowd gives them a big lift and bama throws 3 int's like last week. I think it's possible. But I think bama wins by 10.

This will be a defensive struggle. Penn State should have a very good D this year and neither of bama's QBs have shown they can take the reigns. I expect a 17-14 type of game.

I didn't read the link--I'm assuming it'll be a "white out"?

Unfortunately the SEC lovers will be crowing again when this bloodbath is over.

You're probably right. The varied and sundry toothless throughout 'Bammy may be very happy. We can hope, though, that they're crying in their 'shine, instead.Tiernan;887226 wrote:Unfortunately the SEC lovers will be crowing again when this bloodbath is over.

Looking for the Nittany Lions to take care of business in this game. I agree that the defenses will control the game. Look for McGloin to step up when he is in the game and take control of the QB position.

I'll take PSU + whatever the spread is. Alabama should win, but it'll be close.

Penn State is going to have a horrible time offensively. Their only hope is that Bama's quarterbacks are as bad as they looked like they were in the Kent State game.
I expect Richardson to have a better game and Alabama to roll.

Alabama would win 2 games tops in the big 10. Penn st will win by 3 or 4 tds.

I agree with the Alabama winning easily posts, Bama 28-10 I want to see PSU win but I don't think they have enough offense to do much against a great Alabama defense. Penn State is probably the 5th at best team in the B10 while the Tide should win the SEC. ( I still don't believe in LSU) although their defense is about as good as Alabama's.

why do you think that?jordo212000;889464 wrote:Alabama should take this one pretty easily
Alabamas QB's are terrible. They threw 4 interceptions against Kent State LMAO. They're receivers arent anything to talk about. Losing Jones is a big loss for them. All they have on offense is Richardson.
So they have a running game, which plays into Penn State's favor, because that is what their defense's strength always is. Penn State lost Royster, but you should expect better QB play...
It will be a one or two score game.

Why do I think this? Because Penn St has it coming down their leg every time they play a good team outside the Big 10.
