After 2 years of getting on here and complaining about what games were showing in my area I can finally stop that as I now have Sunday Ticket!

How do these work? I live in Warren at the moment, and we get the Cleveland CBS and the Youngstown CBS. Does this mean I will somehow get 2 different games on either CBS channel? I'd also like to point out that it is utter bullshit that I even have to worry about the Browns being on tv in FREAKING OHIO.

You'll be able to watch both. Browns on Channel 19, Steelers on Channel 27.

You have to worry about it because Youngstown is a secondary market to both teams, and their viewing area is 50/50 between both states. When viewing media markets, state lines do not matter. The physical antenna is in Ohio, but it's not relevant. They have an equal amount of eyes on TV sets from both states.

GENERALLY, the policy is straightforward for most of the stations like this (Columbus and Youngstown the best examples). If they have a choice between 2 teams, the team playing a divisional game will take precedence. This week both teams play in the division, and I assume the tiebreaker was the strength of the opponent (CIN sucks, BAL is good).

I'm a Browns fan and it annoys me to no end too, but I get it.

So since I am stuck in Mobile, AL for work, I get...

Tennesee @ Jacksonville (yuck)
Atlanta @ Chicago (meh)
NY Giants @ Washington (yuck)

Wow, I am almost thinking of driving to Biloxi, MS just to get to watch Pittspuke and the Ratbirds kill each other (hopefully).

Is this Marv Albert's first year of commentating NFL? They have him down for the Buffalo @ Kansas City game. I don't remember him ever commentating an NFL game? I hope he's as entertaining doing NFL as he is NBA...."Cassel to Bowe in the endzone....YES! COUNT IT! AND THE FOUL!"

I think it's his first TV call of a game since NBC had the AFC games back before 1998.

He's been calling on radio for Westwood One for a while in between now and then.

There was a story posted about this a few years ago. If one is at home and the other is on the road the network will show the team on the road every time. So, Pit-Bal will be on TV. Generally, the NFL has been pretty good about keeping the teams at 1/4 start times when one is at home and the other is on the road. And trying to keep them both at home or the road at the same time. But about once a year this comes up. My dad lives across the line in PA and gets Time Warner of Northeast Ohio (go figure), and gets WKBN-27 and KDKA-2. So, he'll be stuck with just the Steelers game. He doesn't get what the other TWCNEO subscribers get and that's the Cleveland and Youngstown feeds.

Toledo is a Detroit market, so Minnesota is a team many Lions fans will want to watch.

+1 even as a Cowboys fan I don't want to watch the Gaints and Skins play. Love me some Rivers.

Also can't wait to watch the Lions and Bucs game. For once going into the season Im not pissed about having to watch the Lions all the time.

Lot of divisional games in week 1. I'll have the Redzone on the main screen with the Lions and Browns flanked. Pretty standard.

Lol, same here. Im pumped to be able to watch the actually. This game should be great. I love Josh Freeman, and I really think the Lions have 9 wins in them this season. Compete but fall short of a WC berth.

I feel the same. I think both the Lions and Bucs end up with 9 or 10 wins and miss the playoffs but compete really well. I think the Cowboys and Eagles get in Saints and Falcons get in then GB and Arizona win the other 2 divisions and get in.
