Not suprised that he was cut, but the timing is a bit curious. I wonder what happened behind the scenes.

Sets the stage for Gabbert to be starting by week 5. Luke McCown sucks.

As a Mike Thomas fantasy owner, I'm not sure I like this.

The Colts should cut Cocktail Collins and swoop him up.

Maybe Garrard got hurt? He took quite a beating last game. This is strange...he was #1 on the depth chart, correct?

This is what I thought. There has to be more to it. It makes no sense to cut your starting QB the week of your 1st game.

Jags did this same thing a few yrs ago to Byron Leftwich when they gave the job to Garrard

But to start fLuke McCown? I could understand if they were starting Gabbart but this move makes zero sense (which makes sense because it's the fucking Jacksonville Jaguars we're talking about). Well some team is going to be picking up a pretty damn good backup (or potential starter in some situations).

Which teams are the top candidates to get Garrard? I could see Buffalo making a play for him. Stevie Johnson would be ecstatic. Maybe the Chiefs if Cassel's injury really is that bad? The Dolphins?

I always thought he to be about 12th to 18th best QB in the league.

The part of that article that I smh about (and heard more about on ESPN) is that the Jags used Garrard to drum up season ticket sales at that chamber of commerce meeting and then they release him soon after. Classy!

I'll take "NO" for 500, Alex. I will say that Henne is better than Pennington. His passes looked like little mini-punts.

I'd rather have Pennington, most accurate QB in history and didn't make the mental mistakes and turnovers that Henne does. Henne has the ability but lacks the mental fortitude to be a winner imo. As for Garrard, he is solid but he's 33 and I would rather go in a different direction with someone younger who we can build around. I think we are really only a great qb away from being a super bowl contender, all the pieces are there.

Of course Pennington was accurate. He couldn't throw the ball more than 15 yards!
